Not getting conversions in Clickbank

Hello, I need some help on getting conversions. Things I am doing -

1) I'm promoting ClickBank products with gravities above 70 in all but I'm NOT getting any conversions. However, the hop impressions are around 65, 88, 45, 55, 31, 70 etc and only made two sales in these 2 months. (Screenshot is attached)

2) I'm using FREE traffic source like posting in FB groups, pages, commenting on niche youtube videos and also posting on various social media platforms.

3) I am using Weebly and Unbounce pages as my landing page because I have fund issue and can't even get a custom domain for $5 ( I know how it sounds but such is life for me ). So, its either getniche.weebly.com OR unbouncepages.getniche.com and the landing pages are pretty good as I've asked some successful people making money online and also in the unbounce community and even their staff said it is good.

4) Out of those many good gravity products that I am trying to promote, the two products were a diet recipe and a dating relationship guide which are both easily available on Youtube but despite that, both of those products had gravity above 70 and 90 which means there is a demand for those products. None the less, not even medium and high gravity products are converting and I'm only getting hops.

Can you please advise anything on how to get some conversions? I DON'T want skyrocketing conversions because those can only be achieved by paid or direct native ads but I want at least little conversions to make some little money to reinvest that quickly into paid or directly native ads.

Also, some people say clickbank products does NOT convert well nowadays. If that's the thing which network should I use?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi SupremeGuy,

you have done well to get a couple of sales early on, some people take months to get their first sale.

If you are using free traffic methods this the best way to start as you will find out what sells without wasting money on advertising a dud.

I have found that products that people are embarrassed to talk to about often sell best - because then they can only purchase them online - search for products that people will not want to talk about or even ask their Pharmacist about - I have found these convert very well.

Continue using free traffic methods until you see 3 or more sales per 100 visitors then start paying for some ads via Bing.

    Hope this helps.

P.S. Clickbank still works - as you have already seen a few sales - maybe just find a better niche.

When promoting your links using free traffic it's normal to have low and no conversions in some cases...it depends on your niche, offer, volume of traffic, and so on..
The main problem is that is not targetted well enough...that's why most of the affiliates are using paid methods (fb ads, instagram ads, solo ads, youtube ads, bing ads, native ads..etc)

  • If you have enough traffic were you should be converting than try changing up your copy.

It sounds like you are doing everything else correctly with free traffic.

Probably the most difficult sale /conversion is with the method you are using now.

Even in embarassing niches, when you're sending relatively cold traffic to a landing page then offer, the conversions are low.

    People are naturally skeptical.

Are you capturing an email address on your landing page? If not, start doing that now...or as soon as you can afford the autoresponder. There might be a free solution you can use like Mailchimp.

If that is not possible now, then increase the value on your landing page. Like you mentioned - you can find a ton of info on dating or dieting on youtube - watch some of the good videos...make lots of notes...then give the visitor a TON of value on your landing page.

Make your landing page like an advertorial.

That might help get conversions up so you can get some sales.

    Hope that helps!

Some good points - but its worth mentioning that you risk having your Clickbank account suspended if you use Mailchimp - as they do not allow affiliate links - its better to use Aweber or Getresponse.

      Hope this helps

Hello, Have you tried giving something for free to your website visitors before trying to send them to the product's sales page? If you are not doing this, trying that setup may help you increase your conversion rate. You could have the affiliate product be "recommended" on the thank you page of the free gift you offer your leads.

Following up with value emails and promotional emails could also further your revenue.

With Unbounce you may have to contact Aweber to ask them to make your list single optin (even if you have already set the list to be single optin in Aweber's settings)

Are you putting out ample free, targeted content and building your friend network? Creating and connecting sets the table for increased conversions. Also, make sure the content you create solves specific needs aligned with your niche. You'll attract folks who buy your affiliate products.

Try to add some value along with your offers, like bonuses. Do you have an email list? consider having one.

  • Which keywords are you targeting? Are you targeting buyer keywords?

If you want search engine buyer traffic, you should be ranking on the first page of search engine results for buyer keywords.

    Examples:
    Buy "product name"
    "Product name" bonus

both of those products had gravity above 70 and 90 which means there is a demand for those products.
More likely it means there are a lot of affiliates promoting them.

CB gravity is a useless metric. If it's how you are choosing the products to promote, you will be disappointed.

      Best information so far.

I thought everybody knew this about gravity?

If 1000 affiliates sell one copy each then the product will have a high gravity
and that is the worst metric to measure your possible future success on.

It just means you'll be targetting the same people that those other 1000 affiliates
are targetting. You'll almost certainly be using the same 'free' traffic techniques they are using.

This is all the stuff the gurus DON'T tell you. If affiliate marketing worked as well as the
affiliate info products said it does then why do you think so many are failing and coming here to WF asking the same questions?

Pick a niche that you can get your teeth into, don't pick a product based on it's gravity.

How much traffic are you getting to these offers?

What is your strategy you are using with those free methods? What are you doing with them? The more details you share the more we can help.

Are you open to paid traffic? do you have your own domain and hosting?

    If you're not converting well.

Then likely you're traffic is highly targeted enough.

You can get quality traffic with Fb ads or solo ads.

You can also try jvzoo affiliate network program as an alternative.

Your best bet is to pay for targeted ads and do split testing to see what work where and with whom

Your landing page should promote a free or really cheap offer related to your main product. Then hit them with the main product (or the next product up tha the ladder if you are taking this approach) after they sign up for your initial offer. If they don't grab it then, at least you their email.

After that, simply write a good email follow up campaign as your list of potential buyers grows.

I think it's more important to build your list than to sell to cold traffic. This is why a free product landing page would bea better strategy.
