So my code sample website focuses on Java just because I know it well. I think I may know the answer, but its best to check outside my own understanding.

Can I use any of the Java logos on my website? Oracle points to the java licensing logo guidelines pdf, but I am still unclear on this since maybe I don't think like a lawyer.

A very brief statement about use of Java logos is below. If you don't understand the terms of the PDF which defines HOW you MAY use the logo....my advice is dont use it. Oracle has to protect its trademarks or can lose the ability to protect them.

To qualify for use of any of these logos, you must meet the requirements of the appropriate logo program for each product you use the logo on. ... The appropriate Java licensing logos may be used only in accordance with these directives. All other use is prohibited by Oracle.

I didn't read the whole pdf - just saying unless you have terms you can point to in the PDF that allow you to use the logo for your purposes - or have written permission fro the trademark holder....I would NOT use the logo. Oracle protects its trademarks.
