You should start with on-site SEO. If you have a WordPress website, you can easily install Yoast SEO plugin. If you have a traditional website, you will need to learn a little about how to use your keywords in the source code.

You might want to look into influencer marketing. You can reach larger audience based on the audience reach of the influencer you will be working with. Only issue with this is that there are lots of fake influencers, so you will need to do some research on this one.

So I read through this thread... I can tell not many, if any of the people responding have ever done SEO for an Attorney / Lawyer.

With a VERY rare exception ( and by rare I can really only think of a Plastic Surgeon that actually used content to his advantage ) is Content going to be a winning strategy for this type of person / client.

The business of an Attorney, a Plumber, an Electrician, a Chiropractor, etc etc is going to be local based. In such that SEO efforts should follow suit ( Forms follows Function ) Google Maps, Google my business, Citations - Citations - Citations, Reviews, and of course backlinks would be the proper methods to be using. NONE of which has anything to do with content.

The only focus on content that should be taking place here is reducing the friction for a lead conversion... selling the end user to pick up the phone and call, or fill out a form. Content should be positioning authority. Should be increasing Trust, and again creating the conversion to making contact.
