Does Quora not like any link?

You should have been alright if you had a link to your landing page.


I have had around 100 articles uploaded on Quora some with links to a landing page.


Occasionally one of my articles will be deleted but hardly ever.


My landing page will also be a page that helps to answer someone's question sometimes with an affiliate link in it.


I always put the link at the end.


Quora like people to answer people's questions and they do not always like a link, I have heard they are sometimes quite strict.


Try another article that helps to answer a question and at the end of your articles say something like:


To find out more on "xyx" topic you may be interested in this: (then put a link to your landing page).

Quora wants you to link to an informative page that answers the question thoroughly.

Obviously spam links.

I Think some of you guys are just too deep into the IM world and don't know the view from the outside. Click bank is 90% garbage and for the outside world that practically speaking 100%

I'd delete any post with a link to clickbank as self evidently garbage.

not just that, but you think a 248 word post is a "detailed" article? New for you bro, it's not.

With Quora you really need to write articles to help people answer the question that they have asked.


Sometimes you will not add any link at all.


You need to build up a reputation for helping people.


Creating a good profile is important as if people like your answers they will probably look there
and you can place some good links there.


Only once you have written a good few answers that help people, start putting the odd link at the end of an article.


It is best to think of Quora in the long term and you can get substantial traffic from it.


Some established writers get tens of thousands of visits per month.


Don't ever consider spamming the site or you will have your articles deleted.

Quora is not like to promote any website or product. If you create more activity by answering question then it will take your link.

Quora moderators normally inform you that if you link to something of your own or that you make money from, you need to disclose that as part of your answer.

You can use links but it has to be relevant to your answer. Once somebody asked me about places to visit in New Zealand. I wrote a paragraph about different places to visit and what to expect there. Then I gave her link of my travel blog about New Zealand. I never had any problem. Your problem with the link was that it was a landing page which created suspicion. Never use a link of a landing page in Quora. It should be your blog post or article..

I have a link in my answer in Quora that has my URL in the answer and i haven't had any problem from it. I'm linking to a blog post that extrapolates on that answer on my website, which i think is totally relevant. Haven't had a problem yet

Did you check the number of people downvoted your answer. If the number was huge then moderated may delete your answer

I have dozens of answers on Quora with organic upvotes. The key things I do are:

Write long and detailed answers. If you are familiar with the term ELI5 (explain it to me like I'm 5 years old), that is how I treat the answers.
Write paragraphs, keep them shorter in length (2-5 sentences), use proper grammar and punctuation.
Include at least one image, if not 2 or 3 that help clarify a concept, provide a visual aid, or even just make someone giggle or smile if it is appropriate in the context of the answer.


When you follow the above steps, you often come up with far more than 248 words. 248 words is not a long and detailed answer in most cases. It is a good start, but treat Quora like it were your own website... write long-form.

Writing long-form has the effect of providing more information, as well as giving you more cover for your link. Think about it from the perspective of a Quora mod. He/she sits around zapping the same garbage spam over and over all day long. Someone reports your post for a link. The mod pulls it up to review it and it is 1,000+ words long with relevant pictures and proper grammar... that mod isn't going to nuke your post.
