Some questions regarding niche and blogging

1. when people talk about pick a niche, do they mean pick a niche for a page or a site? there are many "niche" recommendations online about "how to x" but most of them would cover a page at most and not a site.

2. Can an all around blog site work? solving a large amount of problems within a single niche seems impossible in the long term, what do you lose by solving different niche problems on the same site?

3. How much should you focus on the interface of your site at the start? Im kinda overwhelmed by this and it holds me back, can i just start posting and focus on this instead of how to create a great interface? How important is the interface of your home page? Im thinking that people search for pages mostly and not so much for sites unless you focus on a single niche, so maybe in my case its not so important? i dont know.

    1) You site should cover a specific niche and its vertical integration subjects.
    2) Yes it can work. But you need to create an authority site for an all around website to work.. it is better not create an all around BLOG... you will need WEBSITE.
    3) Start small with the main topic on the home page.

  • It is better to focus on a niche using one domain and a website. The website can have many pages which tackle different subjects on the niche. You can easily achieve this with the interface you want using WordPress.

  • 1) You should pick one niche, starting with a sub niche in which ever niche you want to be general about. People don't know who you are and if you start general you will be competing against marketers who have been around a long time.

    2) You lose because you cannot compete with the "Big Boys and Girls" who have a big following.

    3) I think you should just dive right in and focus on producing helpful content and being consistent. Nobody starts out perfect don't stop trying to. Work on ranking.

Most successful online marketers are not currently doing what they started doing.

They started in a sub niche, figured out how this industry works and developed their marketing skills to help launch what they are doing now, while developing a good following.

The niche should be site wide.

I don't get your argument about running out of ideas. People find a million ways to write about anything.

I can't speak for other people, but in my opinion:

    Do proper niche research...

Find your starving crowd first who are hungry for your offer.

Make sure there are at least 3000 to 5000 people searching per month, for the search term you are trying to rank for in your search engine results. Once you've established this, then your main buying keyword that you're aiming to rank for, should be in your domain name.

Each blog post you create should have latent semantic indexing (LSI) keywords in your blog post title. These LSI keywords are semantically related to each other, and helps your blog rank high in the search results of search engines.

Your niche or sub niche should target buyers. Have a very good offer for your buyers. Content market it with each blog post, that's aim at solving your reader's immediate problem.

There will be plenty to write about, when you keep doing research on improving on your current system of doing things. Before you know it, you will have enough content to write multiple books. ( Very optimistic )

Niche deep first. Narrow it down to a sub niche. Like my answer above, the LSI keywords will elevate your search engine rankings, and you can branch out to more general content.

Though blogging is a long term approach to generating search engine traffic and establishing your brand. Decide now what you want to be known for in your niche.

    1. You can have an ultra specific one page only website or wordpress blog, or any other blog platform.
You can also have other articles on the blog or website pages regarding the same product, similar products etc.
2.try to solve similar problems in the same niche. dealing with very off-topic products and problems might not be a good idea.
3.just install a good website or blog theme. try to install a lead capture popup.
