Generally, the word 'closer' refers to someone that 'makes the sale.'

    Cheers.

I was watching the webinar of the dan lok guy, the high ticket closer he talks about is basically what they call "sales specialist"? or is it a different thing? do these guys make money from commisions always or do they get a specific wage like the rest of the employers?

  • I believe its a term for someone who sells high priced items. With the word "Closer" it implies the person can close the sale of a high ticket product or service.

  • High ticket refers to a high priced product, or high pricepoint coaching/live event, that's usually above the $1000+ price bracket. Closer refers to closing the sale, or converting a prospect into your client/customer.

This might shift a bit from area to area but where I'm from a HTC is someone who specializes in selling low quantity expensive products such as luxury cars or expensive vacations to a smaller client base than usual. I'm guessing you're asking because of the Dan Lok webinar?

What does "low-quality" have to do with your interpretation of the meaning of the term?

Please name a "low-quality" luxury car or expensive vacation. You are basing this judgement on what?

Mea culpa. I only read it 4 times. Glaucoma rears its ugly head. The cataracts don't help, either. I guess I'm going to have to surrender and change my screen resolution. Very, sad! lol

      I'm falling apart. :-(

High Ticket Closing is a skill, much like sales or biz dev. The main difference is that as Closers we have a unique ability and skill to see the deal to the end. We stay in the sell until it's closed (YES or NO) regardless of the objections, fears, and questions that come up. Rather than being sales and pushy, we uncover the motivation behind their interest in the product / service and simply make them realise why they need or don't need the same. While staying in the sell important, it is equally important to help our prospects by adding value.

Through practice this skill will help you identify early if the prospect is just beating around the bush. That way we can save each others time and perhaps guide them in the right direction. At the end of the day, it's not only about making a commission, which can range from $250 to even $2000 per sale, but to add value to their decision making without any sleazy or pushy tactics. Sort of like a counsellor or doctor.

With right training like Dan Lok's HTC Certification program or Russ Rafino's Sales on Demand, one can learn to think like a high value consumer, learn advanced closing strategies and get closing opportunities which are shared on the private FB group by other fellow closers. More than anything you'll be meeting a lot of likeminded people who want to see everyone succeed.

Hope this makes sense and is helpful?

I always do exactly this with my customers, I never try to push them, I'm instead very passive and try to guide them if I feel they need it, I do this for two reasons, the first is that I'm afraid that they may think that I'm a scammer if I push them so being passive makes me look more legit/powerful and the other is that being passive creates attraction while being aggresive creates the opposite of attraction, some sort of law of nature. You need to give them a ground to feel they are powerful and can attack like a bait...I have a very high ratio of success with this. In fact I thought this was the norm, I didn't know there was an alternative strategy and I don't know what that strategy is if it exists, I guess it's constantly hyping the product? some do this..

Nevertheless the opposite is true when writing sales copy, you need to attack well and I don't think I'm very good with this. Very few are interested on my products but those who do end up paying even though the products I sell are not the easiest products to sell.

Who knows? Maybe I have a talent at closing deals?
