Need Help from freelancers ! I am depressed

HI warriors,

I am freelancer and I created account on fiverr few months ago.I am qualified person with degree of BS(Software Engineering) and I know the work also like wordpress,asp.net web development and whiteboard animations.I know all this work well but unfortunately my gigs on fiverr are not getting attention of buyers.How would I tell them about my skills unless they give job to me ,as I am new on fiverr, I also don't have reviews yet.
kindly give me some piece of advice for getting orders on fiverr.

    Review is a big thing on fiverr. Put yourself in your prospective buyer's shoes. If you want to hire a freelancer for your projects, which would you rather use, the one Top rated seller with 2K reviews? or the Newbie with no reviews?

    I usually buy gigs on fiverr and in the cause of my interaction with a few of my sellers they usually end up telling the same breakthrough story.

    Get your friends, create new buyer profiles if you have to, Buy your gigs. It doesn't matter if it's a $5 gig or a $500 gig. I'll recommend creating more $5 gigs for a start (using your seller profile) so as the reduce the commission you have to remit to fiverr.

      You won't need to worry about your problems on Fiverr, once they ban you for this behavior. They're smarter than you think. Now the question becomes, how smart are you?

    I will suggest you up your game. Fiverr is good but have you thought about creating your own platform?
    What do i mean? have your own website, youtube channel, linkedIn, google plus etc. Not all of them but those you think will benefit your business. Create articles that solve people's problems, youtube videos that do the same.
    Remember, in the beginning you need to work and work and it might seems its not working but never give up. With time you will see how your website and youtube channel will start bringing you clients based on the help you have provided in your content. Good luck my friend and try not to be depressed its part of the job. channel the frustration into hard work and it will pay in the nearest future.

    It's always hard getting those first jobs. One thing you could do is create your own samples. If nobody is hiring you to do the work, just do the work anyway. Do some whiteboard animations and post them as samples of your work. Marketers need video now, so that's a great skill. You don't have to say that you created the samples for yourself and not for a client, although you shouldn't lie about it either. And definitely don't pretend to hire yourself on Fiverr. Take heart, getting your foot in the door is always a challenge. You're not alone.

    Considering that you are technically skilled, hire someone who is skilled in marketing for Fiverr gigs. It is quite normal to team up with people, or even better hire someone who can help you out benefit himself.

    Fiverr should just be a small part of your marketing efforts. Don't just rely on one source of gigs, I know it can be tempting to just stick to fiverr when you see all those other gigs with huge amounts of orders in the queue, but you really don't know how much effort they put into getting there and most likely it will be a lot.

    If you are determined to get moving on fiverr hang in there until you get your first order and don't feel defeated.

    Try to network on facebook, youtube and locally and provide a link to your fiverr gigs to get more traffic. Find forums within your niche and offer helpful advice and set up a signature link to your fiverr gig.

    This should provide more traffic to your gigs. If you are still not getting orders after getting more traffic you will then have to consider how the gig is presented and your copy, I am sure you could easily hire somebody for that without it being too expensive.

    I only tried upwork, but the concept of that should the same with every other platforms. Sometimes it takes a while but that's part of it. I suggest you apply for at least 10x a day. This has been my strategy, and it increased my chances of landing a good project/work. The only difference between those who made it and those who did not is persistence. Be persistent, you can do it.
