Is not using Jvzoo a turn off for affiliates ?

Hello affiliate marketers, can you please give me your advice on the following:

Is it a turn off for you if a product's affiliate program is not on Jvzoo ?

I have a product to promote and wonder if Jvzoo is an absolute must, or if I can use a third party solution without hurting my attractiveness.

    Nothing is an absolute must.

A lot depends on what niche you are in as to what systems you use.

There are people in the MMO area selling through Clickbank, JVZoo, W+, Warrior Payments, straight PayPal with a backend affiliate system, and many more systems.

Yes, you can use a 3rd party.

    The reasons JV Zoo might be a better option though are;

    1. Affiliates trust that they will get paid.
    2. You already have tons of affiliates ready to jump on board.

    Just my 2 cents.

  • If you are out of options then you might want to consider using them. If you can find affiliates elsewhere it may be less of a headache.

It is a resource to consider. You can always take it off later.

  • The are other credible market places, other than JVzoo, to upload your digital products, to attract affiliate marketers, to promote your products.

You should also be building your own email list of affiliate marketers, to market your new digital products, that you are about to launch, and want them to promote.

Nope. People buy what they want if they trust the seller. Meaning, the human being selling the affiliate offer. Help folks for free. Promote with integrity. Boost sales.

The fact that there are affiliates on JVZoo doesn't guarantee a single one will actually promote your offer.

I don't say that to be snarky - I say that because it's the truth about JVZoo and it's the truth about most networks. You may have people sign up as affiliates but it's unlikely they'll ever do a thing to help - the people who will help you will almost always be those you recruit and establish a relationship with.

In other words . . . networks are basically worthless if you're hoping even a single affiliate is going to show up and generate sales for you.

What I like about JVZoo are the instant payments and the ability to add a bonus for buyers without getting my own hands dirty. There is also plenty that I don't like about JVZoo too - at the top of that list is that every buyer you send to them becomes a subscriber on their list that they're going to send offers to.

If you have a quality offer to promote I don't really care which affiliate tracking system you use so long as I can trust that you're going to pay me - which is not an issue to take lightly.

    Good luck - John

JVZoo is NOT the only affiliate network on the web.

There are others like Clickbank and Warrior Plus.

But I don't just focus on promoting digital products.

I promote physical ones as well on Amazon.

    Thank you all !

You provided great help to better understand how marketers perceive Jvzoo.

After most of my posts being blocked by Warrior Forum, it's good to see that once a post is accepted, there is a great community of marketers ready to help. Thanks.

no, as long as the product is good and it sells, then to me - who cares.

No it does not, and it doesn't really matter as long as you have a good marketing strategy and a good product that sells.

And if you promote the right vendors you will get credit for any sales made during the cookie life.

I don't promote single products but entire funnels. The vendor does all the hard work and I get the benefits.

Anyone can create their own affiliate program. Some are more robust than others such as ShareASale, ClickBank, JVZoo, etc.

Some, such as Shopify and Bluehost have their own affiliate programs promoting a single product. It is up to you to locate these products and effectively promote them. Not having the product on JVZoo isn't even a factor I consider.

As a new affiliate marketer, I am aggravated with jvzoo. If you have less than 100 sales I believe, they allow vendors to hold your commissions 3 months even after the 30 day refund period which I think sucks. And even after the 90 days, I find myself chasing vendors for my payments and constantly submitting support tickets to get paid.
