What are the niches that affiliate marketers target the most often ?

Hello marketers !

What do you think are the biggest and most recurring niches targeted by affiliate marketers ?

First uneducated guess would be: Internet Marketing and MMO. Is this correct ?

My goal is NOT to find a niche, but to better understand the Affiliate Marketer crowd.

Thanks !
Stan

    Internet marketing is very popular.

Dieting and weight loss are also massive with loads of prospective buyers but also great competition.

However you can look for a sub niche.

For instance within dieting - certain type of diet such as Paleo diet, or diets for over 50s - that way you still have a very popular niche but not quite so competitive.

    Hope this helps.

  • Mostly, all the evergreen niches you can think of such as the IM niche, beauty and wellness, health, travel, and so on.

Very broadly speaking it would wealth, health, well being, lifestyle and hobbies. Depending on what your promoting and how, it would be wise to drill down into those niches to find a sub niche. For example, how to make money as part time writer or guitar lessons for complete beginners.

  • Most long term marketers will get into health, wealth and making money. These all have many sub niches, but there are many profitable niches outside of these.

You can always start outside of the big niches and once you have success in a sub niche you will have more experience to compete in the bigger niches.

    Hey,

There are thousands of niches one can do affiliate marketing with.

The top niches being health and wellness, internet marketing (of course), bodybuilding, personal relationships, finance etc. There are many more you can think about.

However, one thing to ascertain is that do you really like what you are sharing. If you don't like what you do, then it will be difficult for you to give your best.

You could use the following four steps to determine which is the most suitable niche for you.

    1. Are there always offers to promote. You should search some of the popular affiliate marketplaces such as ClickBank and JVZoo. If they have a number of offers for your niche, then it might be a good niche to market to. That is the reason why the affiliate marketplace is listing so many products.

    2. Are customers in the niche known to buy? See the sales statistics for the product. How well has the product being converting, what is the EPC, what has the average refund rate been, are there any upsells etc.

#Tip: Use the gravity score as a measure for Clickbank. If there are a number of products with gravity score more than 30, it might be a good niche to market to.

    3. Can you market to this niche in a profitable way? While there are many large niches, but most of them are saturated. So, when you begin, it is always advisable that you begin with a sub-niche, carved out from a larger niche.

For e.g., fitness for women between 30 and 40. This will help you target your audience and provide customised content.

    4. Do you like the niche? This is very important. If you don't like the niche, it will be very difficult for you to give your 100% to the niche. So, it is advisable that you provide content in a niche that you really love.

You can follow these four steps to begin with. This will surely help you select the niche which is THE BEST FOR YOU.

    Thank You!!

Everyone seems to want to be in the health/lifestyle market or MMO from what I can see. I suppose there will always be a market for dieting, fitness, healthy lifestyles etc. not my cup of tea though.

And of course everyone wants more money!

Pay no attention to CB gravity. It is a meaningless metric that is easily manipulated.

I had the most success with CB products under 30 gravity.

The Big Three are health, wealth and relationships. Sadly, many affiliate marketers have no clue that these are such huge markets that even well-funded corporations don't try to tackle them. Beware of someone who says they are in the "health niche." They likely have no clue what they are talking about.

    I think that's correct.

Most folks around here target other IMers like it's mandatory, lol. I laugh about it but it's really sad to watch.

Popular ones that I can think off the top of my head are fashion, beauty, health, wealth, travel, etc. But those are pretty broad though. Many find subniches that they are more comfortable with, like dieting, skincare products, shoes, essential oils, e-commerce and the like.

I know of an acquaintance of mine who, since she travels a lot, is the fashionable type, and wears a lot of makeup, is an affiliate for make-up brands, a couple of clothing online stores, and some travel websites. She does write her own works on her blog but sometimes outsources to a writer.

Anyway, it's all about what you're more familiar with.

    every niche has opportunities

what I find with individuals who are starting is they jump into what they see is popular or recommended without knowing the lay of niche

some niches your fighting brands while so many low hanging products are everywhere

people buy just about anything so why not find the products that have reasonable competition and avoid the brands

the most important thing you can do is research as much as you can before even making a final decision on who you will compete against, how you will add value

if you come into trying to sell just like everyone else does you will be lost in the noise and not be seen I see this every day I work with individuals trying to make some head way selling online

    People will always want to:

    - look good - weight loss / fitness niches

    - make money - MMO and Online Marketing niches

    - have sex - dating / self-help niches

These are some of the most popular niches that will always have clients, vendors and affiliates

Self help has to be up there too Stan. Folks always looking to improve themselves in an ever-expanding niche. May not be the most popular affiliate niche now but will grow as awareness expands.
