Getting traffic for my site

Hello all. I am new here. I just want to know the reason why new websites hardly get high traffic on inception. People just view and leave eventhough what it is offering is clear, genuine and the message is clear?

    Welcome!

    Two issues:

    1. No one comes because marketing isn't done the right way. People don't just find a new website. They typically have to be introduced to it, click a link on a site they already visit, see an ad, etc. This is all about traffic.

    2. The message may be clear and genuine but if it isn't what the people that visit want, it might as well be in a foreign language. In other words, it's useless. This is about converting that traffic so that they do whatever you want them to do - sign up, buy, click a link, etc.

This forum has hundreds of discussions about these two issues and how to resolve them. Spend some time reading and you'll better be able to understand how it all works and how to succeed.

  • Hi, are you watching the Nigeria vs Argentina soccer world cup match?

What type of website is it?

What are you trying to promote?

Is what the website is promoting a good fit for your traffic source?

Is there a lead capture form on the page that is getting traffic, or a strong call to action of some sort, to build trust with your prospects?

Are you offering them something of high perceived value for free, in exchange for their email address, in order to communicate, and to promote more stuff for them to buy again in the future?

If you made a new site you have to wait for sometime until your site not reach to the target audience. Also, your destination and target should be clear regarding the traffic like which type of audience you want, whom to provide this service, what they are like. Work according to some strategies.
    Do on-site and off-site work.
Submit directory, bookmarking, forum, blog commenting etc.
It all help you if your content good and you have done everything perfectively.
All SEO work should be realistic.

  • People are not interested so they leave. It means you did not target the right group of people.

    Hey,

I can clearly see where your problem lies! It's not about your website but about these two things:

    1. The Target: Are you targeting the right audience. The audience which is coming to your website might be interested in products from some other niche/ products from some other creator. That's why they might be passing you by.

Solution: Do targeted traffic generation. When you do Google PPC and Facebook ads, only target the traffic that is relevant to your offer. Even for free traffic, try getting traffic from SEO, forums, blogs etc by going to only relevant forums, blogs etc. Don't spread your target audience too far. That might be the problem.

    2. The Offer: Is your offer a good and fitting product. I mean the product might be excellent but it might not be adding any value to your customers life.

Solution: Revisit the product and ask for a simple survey on your website. This can be shown as a pop-up when the customer visits your website. Collect, refine and analyse the survey results. Modify the product accordingly. However, please note that this would take some testing and some time as well .But this will improve your product immensely.

You should also capture email leads when the visitor comes to your webiste. This helps you create an alternate marketing channel via email marketing. This is highly beneficial as a long term strategy for your business.

Try these two techniques and let me know if I could help you more.
