CPA tracking?

Hi,

i recently got approved to run a CPA offer on Warrior+Plus, every cpa tutorial i came across strongly suggests using trackers like clickmagick or voluum. why do you need to add tracking to your offer link? if you dont add one will you not get paid?

also noticed the link they provided me redirects to the affiliate site but the unique ID in the url disappears when the site completely loads and just shows the website URL, is this normal?

This is my first time running one of these.

  • i dont plan on building a mailing list, so im not looking for insight on visitor locations etc...
  • I guess the tutorial wasn't very thorough like most wso's. PM me and I'll give you some free sources where you can learn a crap load more about CPA. I think you should choose a market to go into first before deciding if you want to use CPA or CPS, but that's what I'd advise.

    Anyway...

I don't know what the wso was all about and what traffic source they were recommending but these trackers are for tracking Ads/traffic sources and you can add different parameters such as the keyword, ad, device, and carrier so that you can track so you know what keyword and Ad got the conversion.

Yes, you get paid if you use the affiliate link for the offer your promoting, but like I said above it is for tracking what got you the conversion so you can know what's working and what's not and can help you determine how to optimize and scale.

Yes, it's normal. The visitor is cookied with your affiliate ID once the page loads.
  • A tracker allows you to track various variables that help you optimize your campaign, you will still get credited for leads generated if you don't have a tracker.
  • Prosper 202 is a free affiliate tracking software which tracks CPA convergence. Prosper 202 is self-hosted tracking software which you can be install on your web server. Prosper 202 let you add multiple traffic sources, multiple affiliate campaign, landing pages, etc.
  • Prosper202 is the best one in CPA tracking niche.

  • Try PeerClick is much cheaper than Voluum with the same features
  • Voluum has a good reputation.
