New to pinterest need help.

I have googled the hell out of this and I cannot find the answer, when I browse Pinterest I notice a lot of pictures direct link to the website / affiliate site when the picture is clicked on but I cant for the life of me figure out how to do this?

What I am asking is how do I make my images go to the affiliate site or my site when clicked the only thing I can get pinterest to do is put my link at the bottom of my image but they have to click the link in order to go to that website.

  • This is possible for me because I save the images directly from my website using the Pinterest 'save' button.

After you pin it click "edit."

It will show the link and you can change it.

I think there is a problem with the way you save your website images on pinterest. It works for me. I think, you remove pinterest button from your browser and reinstall it..

When you create a new board, click on the "+" sign in the bottom right.
And then go to "Upload A Pin".
A pop up will appear asking you to upload/drag-n-drop your image. On the right side of this popup, there is an option to enter "Website"
Here you can enter the desired link/landing page, that you want the users to directly land on.

    And you're done!
    Hope this helps.
    Cheers!

I don't think I said what I was meaning correctly.

I will try again I appreciate the help though.

When you click on some images on pinterest they enlarge and show the URL at the bottom ( yes I know how to do this )

This is what I am trying to do.

When you click on a image on pinterest some of them take you directly to the website instead of getting a bigger picture ( This is what I cannot figure out how to do )

I am trying to post images with affiliate links that when a person clicks on the image it takes them directly to the website and Not enlarges the picture for a better view.

I do not have a website, so is this even possible without a website or do I need to get one?

I think I know what you're asking. You don't need a website to post a pic on Pinterest.

While logged into your account, click on the little white/red plus sign in the upper right corner of your screen. Click on Create Pin, you'll know what to do from there. Attach your image (drag or upload) and enter, URL and description.

I hope this helps. If it's what you're looking for, let me know when you get a chance.

Yes. You need a website. Pinterest is blocking common indirect links such as affiliate link.
