How did you find your great startup idea?

With every idea I get, I become overly analytical and skeptical about it. I get excited about it, and then it all dies when I start thinking about the investment and attracting customers.

And, what mindset is the best for going through the realisation of the startup idea?

    Normal process, and a hard question to answer.

    I got exited about many projects over the last 10 years, but l would say taking action and having enough motivation to keep going is more important.

    implementation is the first part, it still gets harder in the process but you will need to decide to have a solid mindset over this matter. You know Mel Robbins? Her 5 second rule is definitely helpful in pushing yourself forward even when motivation dies out.

        Here's a clue: if you can't find your passion, you haven't got one. Just get going and eventually a passion might find you.

        I suggest NEVER taking something that you are passionate about in your life and turning it into a business. If it fails, your passion for what you once loved will usually coincide with the business failure. Of course, if you are foolish enough to believe that if you follow your passion, there is no way you can fail - well, good luck with that canard.

        Find something that you are good at. Learn to monetize it.

        Use what you are passionate about to bring an added dimension to your life, that has nothing to do with business. That way, it will always be meaningful to you, regardless of what transpires in your business life. When times get rough in your business or personal life, you can always immerse yourself in your passion to gain solace or to simply recharge your batteries - returning to your problems with a clear head and hopefully, a new perspective.

        Honestly - doesn't that make perfect sense? Think about it. lol

    Many people fall into this trap, while doing some critical thinking is good, too often people talk themselves out of something and this is what separates the people who are successful and those who give up.

    If you have a good enough idea, you need to believe in yourself and run with it to make it happen.

    Whatever it is, start now and get it over with.

    Seriously, it doesn't matter if you fail. Failure is a much better feeling than regret. Get your head around that and you'll be happy to fail 90% of the time, rather than do nothing...which is 100% failure.

    Hi there,

    Every entrepreneurial idea starts with a neat solution to a pressing problem. Uber became what it is today because of glaring lack of taxi-on-call services, AirBnB because of hotel chains and their oppressive monopoly.

    So, I suggest you look around yourself. See what kind of problems the people around you are facing. Come up with a solution (I know its harder than it sounds). Then research if your solution in monetizable or not (the most important step!). And there you have it. A great startup idea.

    Now, after the first hurdle comes a even bigger obstacle. Where to get the funding? I spent weeks pitching to friends, family and colleagues but did not manage to raise more than a few bucks.

    And, then I heard about Angel Investment Network. Some guys in the UK had got together to solve the exact problem entrepreneurs face all over the world! They've more than 30 sites all over the globe and have more than 100k registered investors.

    You need to visit events, conferences, trade shows. Think on a common problem which most of people are facing and come up with some solution for the same. E.g. you think on solving a payment problem. Amazon stores are new thing suing VR which gives buyers and new way to transactions rather staying in queue for longer hours.

    You think about Uber or something using VR ideas like what's app and lot of similar things you simply need to see things in their orginal way and provide a solution. Your business will rock with no effort.
