Hey everybody,

I am new to this forum and I want to learn more about marketing online as well as offline.

I am active in the bodybuilding arena and I am looking to sponsor talented bodybuilders who want to become pros. I offer a $50,000 sponsorship and I would like to learn how to best promote this in the bodybuilding arena online through online marketing. What are the best strategies to achieve this - any suggestions?

I would like to hear from you guys what I can do to stand out from the competition and what the best ways are to attract talented bodybuilders around the world.

    I will assume you are already entrenched in Social media... I will assume you already have a website...

    I would say for this to work... you need a website specifically for the sponsorship. Instagram Facebook Twitter the nines explain what it is, what you are looking for, a place to sign up etc etc. Create a video or 2 explaining whatyou are looking for what the sponsorship entails etc

    Then simply leverage your personal existing network, with the offer. And from the Sponsorship site, juststartposting in groups and influencers pages to get the offer out... basically try and get something to go viral... $50,000 worth should get the share ability kicking LOL

    I would say, make a bad ass video. Rent a high end camera for the day and make sure it looks pro! Set up a website and promote the video via FB/IG ads , leading people to the site and which contains the facebook pixel. Then create audiences based off the interaction you get, then you can remarket to them.

    Research on body building groups etc too, 50K is alot of money so that alone should attract quite a bit of people in that demographic.

    This screams for a video contest with voting by the public involved. Find a way to involve the masses make their voice count. Maybe you could have applicants submit videos and let the public vote on them until the ones with the most views/likes ultimately win. Something like that would be cool.

    One of the best ways to market online is by using social media applications. Nowadays, people are often connected to the internet via their smartphones. Hence, if you post through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram or Twitter, then there is a higher chance that people will see what you offer. However, you would also have to use creative and compelling content for captions and tweets. You would also need photos and videos that would match your written content and campaign. This could be very confusing in the beginning but there are a lot of social media advertising companies who will manage your social media accounts for you.

    I would recommend to divide your goal into two parts 1) Engagement 2) Traffic

    For Engagement/Branding use Social media forums because people love to engage on social forums (but keep in mind to use right medium for right audience).

    For traffic generation use google marketing / search marketing forums as people prefer search engines and similar forums to look for website (Website is a must)

    Blogging is a fabulous way Peter to build up long term, incredibly loyal traffic, for any base. Bodybuilders would especially love this medium because I know how obsessed genuine bodybuilders are with the deets, all the tips and tricks and exercises and form....you can flesh all that out through a blog. Long term approach that can bring supreme returns over the long run for anything you wish to do online.

    Goodness I miss the Iron Game. I did a fair amount of bodybuilding for a long time but alas; my body tired of the weights and now loves deep yin yoga and distance running. My joints too, LOL.

      I understand I love BB Ryan - would you say that blogging would be more efficient or do you think vlogging is also a way to go here? What's your opinion here Ryan?

    A great way would be to contact people directly on Instagram. You will find thousands of aspiring bodybuilders or personal trainers.
