What is Affiliate Marketing & How You Define It?

Affiliate marketing, what does it mean to you? Is it just slapping some affiliate links on to your website and be done with it, or carefully placing and distributing promotion where it counts? How do you affiliate marketing your Internet business?

    I wonder why someone who is HEAVILY promoting an "affiliate marketing" system, who has an "affiliate marketing" related sig file, would post such "questions" in a beginners forum?

    Clearly, you are not ignorant of the answers to those question, right? So, your goal here would not be to obtain answers to those question, so what would it be then?

      Hi Andy, unlike you, maybe there are people that can find good advice for better building of their affiliate marketing web space, so this question is posted to gain insights about affiliate marketing, affiliate link placement, effective ways to promote affiliated products on their website. We can all learn something new. It doesn't hurt to hear what others have to say, and how they do it that have given much success. Thanks.

      Affiliate Marketing is rather the "marketing model" used by products and services vendors to spread sales and reach markets that they would not reach otherwise. So, this is where it start, from the vendor without which there would be no "Affiliate Marketing" if it does not adopt that "marketing model".

      THEN, what you describe as the affiliate tasks is much accurate.

      Indeed, "Affiliate marketing has become an increasingly viable means for people to enter" and I'd add that it is probably the easiest and fastest way to start "a business" online without any or too much investment.

          What do you mean, I mean it depends on what you are trying to do here? How are you planning to do things?

          For example, if you just want to share affiliates links to products with "friends" on your personal timeline, me I would add just a disclaimer about it, in my About me section.
