The role of A.I. in personal selling in the future

Hi all,

This is my first post here - I'm looking forward to learning more about selling / marketing and copywriting through this resource.

I've been asked to research what the role of A.I. will be in personal selling in the future. This is an interesting topic, as "personal selling" and "A.I. integration" within this role seems to be an oxymoron. However, we do make use of CRM and other technologies already in order to better our marketing and sales departments.

What are your thoughts? Does A.I. have a place in personal selling? Will it take on a larger role within this over the next couple of years?

    I believe so, as Facebook has had messenger now we are getting messenger bots developed, and used to follow up with potential customers handling their questions, comments, and concerns..

    Messenger Bits are derived from those chat bubbles you see on websites, and I believe they will come back even more advanced now that messenger bots are here.

      Thanks Eric - Definitely a worthwhile point to consider. I think the video of Google's voice AI assisting in booking a hair appointment is quite indicative of this, for sure. Appreciated!

    Good and interesting question.

    I think AI is the future no matter how you look at it. But I think this will help with "machine learning" and sorting through data.

    Right now for affiliate marketing for example - everything is in the data. We started off by "buying data" to determine what will work, then optimizing for what makes money. Right now this is pretty manual. I think in the future, this will be more automated and AI will help with the analysis more than us having to decide and make manual decisions.
