Building trust with your subscribers - Email Marketing

Hi everyone

I am new to this forum(not in Email Marketing)
I've read quite a lot about Email Marketing,but since this forum is really good,i thought i'd register/post here so that i can get help from succesful people.

Anyways, whoever promotes products through email marketing,knows that TRUST is a valuable factor in creating a passive income for yourself. Here's my problem:
First of all, i am planning to promote products in the E-business & E-marketing niche. This is a very good niche because people in here are always interested in making money online and learning about IM. So when i actually get my visitors' emails, in order to gain their trust, do i have to send emails with content such as:
  • What is Affiliate Marketing?
  • Affiliate Programs and how they generate money for you
  • Email Marketing
  • SEO etc.. and other things that have to do with making money online.

    The bigger question is HOW did you get them on your list? that specifically should dictate to some extent what topic you should be delivering.

    The broader your bait is the more leeway you will have later... spend some time and deliver content on affiliate marketting sell a product... move to e-mail marketing, sell a product. head over to paid advertising, sell a porduct. etc etc etc - or thats the idea at least.

    Why not educate yourself on the process by getting on other peoples mailing lists and see what they do and how they do it. It will give you an idea of what you can do the same and what you might change.

    Do yourself a favor and try and get on Andrew Hansen's ( Rankings Institute ) mailing list - ( he is pretty tight about getting in, but with some searching I am sure you can get in. ) He would be an example of what to do. I have literally been on 1000's if not 10's of 1000's of mailing list, and this one is 1 of 4 that I read every time. The value level is through the roof.

      Hi, thanks for taking the time to reply.
      As for your question "How i plan to get them on my list", i already have prepared a free report written by the vendor himself,which is very good and has direct connection to the content i will be delivering to the subscribers later.I plan to give the visitors the download link, in exchange for their emails. This method is also known as a "lead magnet" between Internet Marketers i think.
      I have also gotten into other people's lists and found some useful tips, but i wanted to hear from people themselves, so that's why i created an account at Warrior Forum.
