Hi everyone,

I have a question on affiliate marketing with facebook. My question is should I use my personal account to promote stuff, or should I make another account for that type of stuff.

i will suggest you to better go with your own account if you know you are going to work with something clean, it will spare you the work of building all this up again.

I would say use your own account, if Facebook sees you creating duplicate accounts then I assume it won't be good

  • It is better to create a fan page using your business name or website name in order to keep your personal account private.

    You got two options:

    1) Either create a group surrounding the niche that you are trying to promote and make the approval process stringent enough and allow only posts related to your niche.

    2) Run targeted Facebook ads aurrounding your niche and this includes promoting your own facebook group.

If you don't want your family and friends see all the marketing promotions that you do online, then create another account.

It's totally up to you in the end. Do whatever your heart prompts you to.

If you are going to do cloaking for affiliate marketing campaigns then it would be a big risk to do it on your personal ad account.

You can try promoting products via Chatbots on Facebook which can save you for getting banned on your personal account.

Nowadays Facebook has so many restrictions regarding Affiliate marketing.
I already got my 2 ad account suspended.

If you are going to do affiliate marketing on Facebook I will suggest you two things

    1. Know about restrictions for what you are going to promote.
    2. Don't use your personal account to be on the safe side.

    Good luck.

It would be better to create a different account, isn't it convenient that your personal account wont meddle to your business related account? If you say yes, then go ahead and make a legit second profile that is only for affiliate marketing.

I would create a business page and/or a group. This way you do not put your FB account in jeopardy of being shut down.

I think getting targeted traffic is difficult nowadays without campaign and sales funnel. So it is better to go with paid method with a niche based professional ID. Wish your best luck.

Now whenever I think about promoting affiliate products using Facebook, I would first like to create a nice Facebook page targeting a specific niche like weight loss, make money online, e-commerce products, etc. You need to create a dedicated Facebook page targeting an affiliate niche program which you would like to promote.

Make sure NOT TO SPAM your Facebook page with your affiliate links, it will just not look professional and there is a high probability chance that Facebook may BAN your account or Temporarily Block It!

Use your personal account then create business pages or groups instead. This will still separate your personal information to your business

I recommend you build a Business Fan Like Page in your personal account then get to work joining groups related to your niche getting likes and marketing.

whatever helps you connect with your target customers. However, I prefer to have a new account because it more focuses on the target customers, rather than your personal account.
