How to create viral video on Youtube

I would like to share my experience on building a six part viral video training course on Youtube called: "How to sell online even if you have no list- using free Facebook traffic? "

I uploaded 6 short videos onto Youtube featuring different aspects of the training course. I put in the best titles, descriptions and the tags for these videos on Youtube to make them searchable by Google. I got some ideas by seaching for high ranking videos under: "selling online" and look at what they used for these fields.

Then I created a series of autoresponder messages using Aweber.

I uploaded an optin page (see my signature file).

When a visitor click on the above, he/she may enter his/her name and email address. These will be captured by Aweber which will send him/her the first video with the link to Video No. 1, followed by Videos 2 to 5 on day 2 to 5.

Inside each of these videos, I mentioned that special tips and freebies are available in Video 6, which they can watch if they have refer three of their friends to watch Video 1.

Once they have shared with three of their friends, the program will send them the link to download Video 6.

A program will keep track of the progress of the referral and send out the referral links to be used to refer others- the link to this program is in the first email send to anyone who optin.

The approach can kill two birds with one stone as follows:

1. The compounding effect of each prospect referring three of their friends can make the video viral by itself. It will promote itself after the first optin.

2. The raw traffic from the autoresponder program to the Youtube videos will make the videos rank high on Youtube and Google, since the videos are created with appropriate titles, descriptions and tags.

Using this approach, I can enjoy the best of a viral campaign using an autoresponder and raw organic traffic from Youtube/Google.

    Today I check the stats and noticed the visitors have increase from 175 to 184 ie, 9 additional visitors. This is achieved without me do anything- apart from posting the adv on my Facebook profile. These are the referrals from my optins. See:

    That's basically the same technique Wilco used with Upviral, the referral tool you're using.
    Happy to see you're using it, cause it worked pretty well for me. In my case, I added another step that you could find useful.

    The second video wasn't released by email (like the first one) but via facebook messenger. In this way, I could get the email address and the Facebook account of my subscribers.

            Sorry mate but I started that campaign months ago and it's not online anymore.

            The method is pretty simple: the user subscribes and receives the 1st video link via email. In the email I specify that there's a 4th long video where I get deep into a topic related to the 3 video series, and to unlock it, the user needs to share the landing page link and make 3 people join.

            In the 1st video page there's the button to watch the second video. This button links to Facebook Messenger where I ask a question to the user, and I specify that he needs to reply to the question to get the 2nd video.

            So in this way, I have his email address and his facebook contact.

      Yes. I use Youtube videos, an autoresponder and a viral management program (details is in the signature below)
      to do this.

      As I said, this has the advantage that the traffic from any referrals to the Youtube videos will propel them higher on the search engine and youtube.

      Of course, you must make sure your Youtube videos have the proper titles, keywords and tags.

      The Youtube videos were made using a web-cam and powerpoint. I use Camtasia which allows me to simul-cast both on the same video screen. I appeared in the video because I want to build up a relationship with my viewers.

There would be no end on what you could do with that knowledge.     Now that I have everything set up and working nicely, I am working on promoting my Youtube videos on the social media. There are a number of tools for doing this. I am seeing signs this is driving organic traffic to my videos. Of course I only promote Videos 1 to 5 and leave out Video 6 for obvious reasons.

    I am also trying to use live streaming feature of Youtube to rank my videos high on Google search engine using carefully selected keywords.

    Note all my Youtube videos have been provided with the right titles, descriptions and tags to rank high. This is important for the above to work.

    For newbies you may search for the top videos in your niche and see what others used.

    Combined the top three videos into your video description and it is not impossible to beat them.

    What do you need to go viral?

    The script and story.

    You need something exciting, shocking and new that no one has thought about, that's going to vow your audience and keep them wanting more. The scirpts and characters needs to engage with them on a deep emotional level.

    Acting / voice Talents/ animation

    You need the very best talents to make the production better so that they add value to your original idea, instead of it becoming an experiment or an acting class. Professional talents will bring great quality of expression and emotion through their acting and voice.

    Production

    You want a high quality of production with elaborate sets, good lighting, experienced cinematographers and directors to get the best out of your talent. Exciting art design and really good audio too.

    Post production

    All the magic happens in post, special effects, slick editing, music composition and sound engineering.

    Publishing.

    Youll need a contest, an ad campaign and other innovative ideas that an ad agency will offer to make a great campaign so that people will find your video and start to share it and so that it can finally go viral organically after it reaches atleast 40% of the projected populous.

    If youve got the capability to put this kind of muscle behind your story and do justice to your story, it's sure to go viral. Meanwhile, the return on investment might take a while to see.

      You want a high quality of production with elaborate sets, good lighting, experienced cinematographers and directors to get the best out of your talent. Exciting art design and really good audio too.

      All the magic happens in post, special effects, slick editing, music composition and sound engineering.

      Youll need a contest, an ad campaign and other innovative ideas that an ad agency will offer to make a great campaign so that people will find your video and start to share it and so that it can finally go viral organically after it reaches atleast 40% of the projected populous.

      If youve got the capability to put this kind of muscle behind your story and do justice to your story, it's sure to go viral. Meanwhile, the return on investment might take a while to see.

      But most of internet marketing (of affiliate products) are dominated by a semi-professional group of people who have limited budget. This explains the quality of the videos.

    I think it should be something super extraordinary to catch attention of people who have seen everything already.
    It's not easy since there are so many bombing videos, but it's possible to create outstanding one.

      I believe in targeting the niche. We just target the segment that is trying to sell affiliate products on JVZOO. I created very informative videos that show beginners how to do it for free- but I am not sure this is "outstanding" as mentioned by you.

      I must admit I haven't look at it for most of this month as I was busy travelling around the country.

      I checked my upviral stats today and was pleasantly surprised I had 622 total visitor but only 22 leads.

      This is achieved without any work/promotion on my part.

      Also, I migrated my server and my redirect links were down most of the month.

      Yes, there are free boosts for videos. Search on the internet and you will find the right ones.

      Titles and tags are important. One must include them with long tailed keywords to ensure inclusion on Search Engine.

      But all these are secondary. The important thing is to get your videos out on Youtube- the best internet marketing platform that is preferred by the big G.
