I uploaded 6 short videos onto Youtube featuring different aspects of the training course. I put in the best titles, descriptions and the tags for these videos on Youtube to make them searchable by Google. I got some ideas by seaching for high ranking videos under: "selling online" and look at what they used for these fields.
Then I created a series of autoresponder messages using Aweber.
I uploaded an optin page (see my signature file).
When a visitor click on the above, he/she may enter his/her name and email address. These will be captured by Aweber which will send him/her the first video with the link to Video No. 1, followed by Videos 2 to 5 on day 2 to 5.
Inside each of these videos, I mentioned that special tips and freebies are available in Video 6, which they can watch if they have refer three of their friends to watch Video 1.
Once they have shared with three of their friends, the program will send them the link to download Video 6.
A program will keep track of the progress of the referral and send out the referral links to be used to refer others- the link to this program is in the first email send to anyone who optin.
The approach can kill two birds with one stone as follows:
1. The compounding effect of each prospect referring three of their friends can make the video viral by itself. It will promote itself after the first optin.
2. The raw traffic from the autoresponder program to the Youtube videos will make the videos rank high on Youtube and Google, since the videos are created with appropriate titles, descriptions and tags.
Using this approach, I can enjoy the best of a viral campaign using an autoresponder and raw organic traffic from Youtube/Google.
