Drafting effective emails for email marketing

Hello All,
I am looking for resources/tips to draft emails. I would be sending these emails to a niche group inviting them to my website:
Specifically, I had the following questions:
Any pointers for drafting the email subject?
Should I use more text or images?
Should I describe the services completely in the email or provide links to know more

Thanks

Some of the answers depend on your niche and your preference. First, the subject line is the most important and you will likely need to test several to find the winners. I would avoid trying to write anything that could be seen as click bait or as misleading. Truthful subject lines are best.

Second, personally, I prefer more text than image as images take longer to load and don't always come through on all email programs. This is just my preference, however, and images can be very powerful.

Finally, I would never describe the services completely in an email. Look at the email as a teaser to lead them to your website with more information.

    Hope this helps.
