I don't know how to install Adsense

Hello there!

Long time lurker, first time poster here.

I have an idea about a small blog I want to start, and make money of off.
I registered a site on wordpress.com, and started to post.
Today I bought a domain on GoDaddy.com and connected to this wordpress site.

Everything fine until here.

I wanted to install Adsense to my site, however, when I put a widget on my sidebar with the Adsense HTML code, it won't let me publish it on the admin site.

What did I wrong? Is is possible, that I have messed up somehow?

Can you help me?

Thanks in advance!

I think the problem you have is with the wordpress.com site. The .com encourages WordAds rather than Adsense as its ad server, so the Adsense code might well be disabled.

I recommend you switch to wordpress.org instead. You'll have to arrange your own hosting (you can get that for around $5 per month to start with), but you'll have far more flexibility regarding your site's monetization options. And you'll be able to paste in the Adsense code.

BFB - The Blog for Bloggers.

first checkout how to get approved for Adsense on Approval For AdSense- Explained How to The do's and don'ts .

Then, it's not a very difficult task. If your are using blogger(BlogSpot) AdSense will automatically start working properly after you enable it.

or for other platforms you have to install their codes on your blog.

PopAds- Best Ad network for low traffic blogs.

if you have good traffic, you can install adsense. This will be profitable for you. Because if your traffic is high then you will automatically get a lot of profit. And install adsense ads can also be set in accordance with the condition of your blog.

I second that, go with Wordpress.org and you will have a lot more control over your blog. There is plenty of cheap hosting to get you started. I know it may be tempting to ask for hosting recommendations but for every hosting company somebody recommends there will be good and bad reviews.

You can find quite a few links online for hostgator 1 cent hosting.

As others said - move to your own wordpress installation. If you want to monetize your site, it must be standalone site.
