As long as you are taking action you are on the right track, no matter the results the point is to stay engaged in your business and apply what you learn then you will come up with what works exactly for you.

I started out with no money and no idea where to start and now I have a foundation(no traction yet) and I'm working a job to pay for the tools I need so I will be cracking the code soon!

So you are on the right track, the only thing is showing people how to make money online while you haven't really been making money online is hard in my opinion, but you can create content that helps people in your position, it's just how you do it.

    Hope this helps

So - you have no experience, not even an unsuccessful track-record, you have a blog with two posts and you are teaching others how to be an affiliate marketer.

Now that you have read all that in one sentence, does that sound like a viable business model?

    Just something to think about.

I couldn't agree more. You couldn't pick too many things with more competition from real experts than "how to be an affiliate marketer".

Why not start blogging about something you truly DO know about, that you have been successful doing, something you are passionate about? Then, start reaching out to others with similar interests on social media, YouTube, forums, etc. There's almost always something you can sell or a way to make money with any subject.

With no money for advertising, that's the best you can do. It will take awhile to get some traction but at least you'll be writing about and socializing with people about things that are meaningful to you, which makes it far less like "work".

    Hi Uproot,

I'd focus on these lines buddy:

I've been trying to make money online for a while now. the problem is that i have absolutely no money to start with.

1: You are trying to make money online, but you are not developing any skills. Money flows to skilled online entrepreneurs who hone their craft through practice. Pick a niche you feel passionate about and solve a pressing problem in the niche. Starting point.

2: Use a credit card, get a part time job or ask for a load to buy your domain and hosting. You cannot succeed online for free; gotta invest in your business.

    All the best.

Yes. It sounds like you are on the right track. Now it's time to learn how to market those blog posts and get them out to the world. Learn how to share them all over the place and you can generate a ton of free traffic.

Then, when you make a few sales and get paid, get a self-hosted WordPress blog and ditch the free platform you're probably already using.

  • With no money, just keep focusing on putting out content and have affiliate links. Keep educating yourself in the process. You cant sound educated about an affiliate offer if you have no idea on the subject you are trying to give content to.

It takes time without money, but it is very possible. Focus on free platforms and publishing as much content as you can. If you enjoy the niche you are in it will be fun.

If you don't have much money to start, maybe start with doing odd jobs and freelancing like writing articles, offering link building, etc

Clickbank University is a good place to start to learn the basics on how to make money online. I have tried making money with clickbank before and personally didn't have much success. I think I made one sale from a Youtube video that I made but that was about it. The other problem with clickbank is that most people are going to want a refund before you actually get paid. It is almost a lose-lose situation because even if you start to use paid traffic, it will eat up your ROI from any sales you make. Would probably be better to make a website on a topic that you enjoy and find a way to sell something physical that you would buy instead. It is a long and very slow process to get free organic traffic from Google but when you have a passion for something, it makes all the difference. You probably don't want to hear this, but there are nothing else I've seen that works in the long run.

If you are constantly learning, you're on the right path.

That being said if you don't currently have money you could get a job that pays you while you're building content on your blog.

However if you don't want to do that you could join programs that pay you money just to give them leads and let them do the selling. Then you use the cash that you get from that to promote your blog.

If you just built the website and wrote a couple of blog posts, you are on the right track but need to keep going. Without having any money for paid ads, you are going to have to write a lot of great content and build up your website. Content marketing will have to be your focus.

If you can make a sale or two, you can invest that in paid ads to drive more traffic.

I think that you need to learn a bunch first. Don't you think? As much as you can.

Learn and continue to do. If you like blogging, keep blogging but just KEEP doing it.

Even if you don't the money, i don't think it matters. I see people that do have money, spending like CRAZY without learning or implementing a single thing. It's insane.

Regardless i think you're on the right track. Trying different things, you'll get there.

Personally, after spending what i thought was "enough" on ads, i decided to learn how to make money online with almost nothing. And so that got me going. I learned more stuff.

Eventually you'll want to want to invest in yourself. I think everyone here would agree, that investing in themselves by paying for something, (ads, a course, coaching, etc) put them FAR beyond their initial point a LOT quicker

Excellent! There is already too much competition from people that know what they are doing.

I think focus is one of the things that you need. Choose a business model and stick with it until you get results. Don't jump into another and another. Don´t give up if you don't have results right away. Just keep moving forward everyday and eventually the results will come.

II would say yes you are on the right track. Let the content read as if it were a documentary of you and your path and resist the urge to sound like a "Authority". and simply start taking everything you have done and bring it to scale. IE multiply the effort 10 fold 20 fold 100 fold. the effort will pay off. maybe not tomorrow.. but in the long run you will succeed.
