Choose any money making method. But choose only one.
Stick to it. No matter what, don't change the method. The "shiny object syndrome" is the worst in online marketing.
No matter which money making method you choose, you will make money with it. It just takes time to perfect it and earn some real money.

    Best of luck!

This is good advice. I would also expect to take 6-8 months before you start earning any substantial income (and "substantial" is, of course, in the eye of the beholder).

Spot on. I know of no business that can give profits in two months. The six to eight month window itself appears narrow, if you ask me. Yes, we have to first define what "substantial" is!

Don't be frusted or stop your work. It doesn't matter how much time spend or how many dollar you earn at the begining. Just try to maintain your daily routine, make strong and better content for viewers, check out google analytics report, how many visitores visit your site, where are they from, their age, location, interest, how many time they spent on your site etc. Analyize your data then you understand why you can't earn from affiliate? Remember on thing, hard work never fall.

        Two words...

        Email Marketing

        Here's an example:

Create your own video about a similar product or give away something cool(related to the product) to collect emails and then send people free content based on whatever you're promoting and then offer then the CPA offers.

This would be done in a sequence of emails that are sent to the people who opt-in your landing page.

    Hi Charles,

I feel as if i should slow it down...

    Bingo, bro. Slow it down.

Here's why: 2 months. You have been in IM for 2 months. In 2 months, even if you are creating helpful content and building meaningful connections, you cannot develop the skills to inspire people to trust you. Even if you practice 24 hours daily. Why? I have been practicing for 10 years. Some guys on Warrior have been practicing for 20 years. So we outshine you....BUT....if you buy 1 course, patiently study it, and begin creating helpful content, and building strong friendships.....and if you are not focused on making money...your patient generosity brings you success over the long haul.

Slow down. Stop buying courses and stuff. Start creating helpful content for people, and start building genuine bonds with IMers in your niche buddy.

For media buying, you might want to consider taking a look at the STM or Mad Society communities. Those will eliminate the need for Udemy courses. You're going to have a hard time finding any solid Udemy courses nowadays. There are so many that are just filled with material that's been rehashed for 5+ years, that you're better to spend the money on STM or Mad Society.

affiliate marketing seems easy from the beginning but it will take some time before you get the hang of it. instead of only focusing on paid traffic (i assume that's what you've been using), try and build a blog so that you can build some audiences.

selling products online is all about promoting your products to the right audience, with the wrong audience even if you're promoting a free product, you won't get any conversions. since you have invested a lot and no return it means you need to reconsider the type of audience you're promoting your affiliate products to.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[11448150].message }}
  • Slow down with the spending. There are plenty of way to generate free traffic.

Two months is nothing. Some people don't have success for two years, but when they do it takes off.

Don't get frustrated, keep moving forward.

I've been promoting affiliate / CPA offers for a little 18 years.

However, I do thing a bit different than most.

I heavily promote PPL (pay per lead...lead generation) offers. This is because there is no credit card / purchase required to complete an offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form, so conversion rates are typically much higher compared to offers that require a sale to be made.

I favor offers that have a make, get or save money benefit to them, as they have overall worked the best. They also tend to have the greatest mass appeal (will be of interest to a large general audience), so the potential exists to produce high volume and they are fairly easy to cross promote on the back-end.

Some of the verticals (niches) I have done extremely well with are: education, insurance, loans, debt, credit, mortgage, assistance, discount offers, homeowner offers, etc...

The bulk of the PPL offers that I promote pay $20-$40 per lead, but I also promote offers that pay more and less. You don't want to get too caught up on what an offer pays because how well it converts is just as important. For example, if you have an offer that pays $9, but if it converts at 2X or more of a $20 offer, then it will perform about the same or possibly better. At the same time, if you have an offer that pays $90 and it converts poorly, it may not even be worth promoting.

I have also done just as good with dating website sign-ups and pretty good with free trial + S/H offers. I also promote a very limited number of offers that are straight sales. For them, mass appeal is still the number one thing I look for and I also look for one of the following...

    1) The product is new and/or novel-unique and you can't purchase it locally or even something similar. I don't waste my time with it once something similar shows up in Walmart.

    2) The buyer can truly get what is being offered at a decent discount.

    3) Solves a house is on fire type problem.

However, I mainly promote non-PPL offers on the backend.

Bottom line, it's far easier to get someone to fill out a short form than to get them to pull out their credit card and make a purchase. So why struggle with trying to sell this or that, when you can provide free information that users want/need and get paid well doing it.

    Something to think about.

Let me tell show you my exact step by step funnel I use in affiliate marketing...and this is coming from the guy who made 6 figures in just 4 months(no bragging, just to let you know that this thing works)
Before I dive into the funnel there are few things that I want to clear...
    1. Stop listening to that motivation bullcrap "oh you can do it!! 2 months is not enough...just keep doing! " bla bla... 2 months is a lot my man!! You are not making any money because there are certain things that you are doing wrong or you are not aware of the psychology that makes people pull out their credit cards and buy the stuff through your affiliate link. It's really that simple!
    2. STOP spending money on udemy courses! (even though some of the courses on udemy are good but the problem here is we sometimes use "learning" as an excuse to not pull the trigger!)
Take action! Instead of spending money on udemy, use the money to pay for the ads.
Let's get to funnel building now...
Affiliate marketing is promoting other people's product right? Let's say you are promoting a course on Weight Loss(say Venus Factor) now obviously you are the not the only one promoting that product...there are multiple affiliates promoting the same product...so here the question arises... why would someone sign up under your link and not others(or maybe buy directly from Venus Factor's website) ??
    What makes YOU different?
You have to create an irresistible offer! An offer that they can't get anywhere else...it's the OFFER that makes people sign up under your link rather than other affiliates...it's the offer that makes you different from other affiliates...
How To Create An Irresistible Offer
When we create a product, we solve an existing problem...BUT we also create a new problem regarding that product(a better problem though)
The problems that our product creates is what helps us to create bonuses around our product... those bonuses help us to create our irresistible offer.
I go deep about offer creation here in this post...
    https://medium.com/@therealistmarket...r-9d09f8e2ae1e

Now once your offer is ready, time to build the funnel...
    1. The first step in your funnel should be a bridge page (where you collect the emails of the customers so that you can build a (know---like---trust ) relationship with them.
You list is the traffic you control(you don't have to pay facebook or google or anyone to promote your product to them...the people in your list are YOUR people...you control them) Just one email and BOOM! pure profit!
Collecting emails also help to follow up with people who didn't buy the product
    2. The next step is sales page: here we sell our own product (not expensive one...just enough to cover our advertising cost and breaking even)
    3. The next step is the Upsell (here we introduce the product we are an affiliate for) At this point we are getting customers for free!
Later, you can also offer another fitness product to this same list and make profit... makes sense?
    Your funnel is attached below

As first, 2 months is to short to get positive ROI....

Heres all you need to do to make money in this business.

    1.) Pick/generate a hot converting offer

2.) Stick with that offer until you make it successful.

3.) Drive traffic (blog, videomarketing, paid traffic....) to a squeeze page and build your list.

4.) Build relationship with that list, market to it, share helpful tips and focus on 80% value 20% promotions.

5.) Take profits, reinvest, scale up

    Thats it!!

Make it simple and don't complicate too much...

You can master process or outsource anything (copywriting, webinars, technical stuff) you hate doing along the way.

It sounds like you probably studied enough when it comes to courses, so I would stop spending money or time on that. It's time to slow down and start building trust. Make videos, write blog posts, join with others and craft guest posts, etc.

I'm not sure if anyone has ever made much money in two months as their first venture. Just keep growing, build a community and get people to trust you. Use this product to build yourself up and get buyers. Trust is worth its weight in gold and will pay off over the years.

Hey 6 months is around the time it took me hehe.

Yeah, 2 months is too little i think. But with the information you have, you'll HAVE to stick with only one thing or method, until you master that. Later, you can switch to something different, once you've got one down.

I have nothing bad to say about Udemy, but there is a whole lot of quality free training out there.

I recognize that there is a whole lot more crappy training, but you need to get out there and figure it out.

Just know that a lot of successful people become that way by providing free help, and instead make their money through the affiliate products which they recommend and their audience needs.

This can be an option for you too if there is a niche that you really enjoy and where you have knowledge that can help others.

You better start! Let it not just be some words you wrote down in a forum post once...

And yeah, persistance to me, is super important. It's a combination of that, focus/clarity and mindset

Personally i started to see results, once i invested in myself, but also it's good to know that "you've won" once you can't keep your mind off of getting what you want.
