Confused about rules for new members

Hi, the WF rules for new members demonstrated for me that in order for me to post or reply I have to have 5 posts. What other postings are there besides post and reply? What am I missing?

    FIRST - read the sig rules for the forum and make sure your signature is in compliance.

    The limit you refer to is the limitation on using the Private Message system on the forum. Also there are few forum sections that might limit you until you have a few posts in the main discussion areas. (Note to all new members: Using the PM system to send unsolicited promotional messages can result in being banned.)

    All new threads are 'moderated' - which means they don't show up until a mod approves them. The time required depends on mod avialability but usually doesn't take long.

    I agree the rules can be confusing - feel free to ask for clarification when needed.

      I wasn't referring to the private message. WF stated that I could not post or reply until I got 5 posts but now obviously that the post here is working in the beginners area but no where else.

    You should be able to post in this section and main forums - but perhaps not in the Marketplace as yet. (I'm a mod - but that's a guess).
