My Best Advice For Beginners,
1st, I have said that I have a lot more knowledge than experience. I'm like a lot of the salesletters that have spent thousands on too many shiny objects without actually implementing any of them. Today, I am starting my personal GOYATMA Initiative (Get Off Your Ass Take Massive Action).
While Shiny Object Syndrome and Information Overload are easy to get caught up in, there are ways to literally work your way out of them in a somewhat painless way. What I have done is spend a bit of time setting up a folder system in my downloads folder.
My top folder is a 1st reads folder. This is the one where I take a few of the materials I have collected so far and put them there with the intention of, yes, reading them first. It may have a lot of materials in from each of the other folders, but if I start with the content of this folder, then I can decide what direction I want to go from there.
Next, Create a folder on whatever subjects you have content for. My files list go from 24 hours to Youtube. From this point on, it will make finding that elusive product much easier to find.
Now, if you're like me, and do the occasional binge download of product, After I've downloaded a fair amount of product in the folders, I will actually go in and review the contents to see what's there. I may delete some of it right out, but I may just give some of them a priority by numbering the top 10.
You can drill down a little deeper if you want, say creating folders for particular individuals as I did for Jay Abraham and Frank Kern among others. Then pick ONE folder, ONLY ONE, that you have decided you want to concentrate on and go through that folder before moving to another.
This may not stop SOS or IO, but it will certainly make them a bit more manageable.
