How do you get stripe, after I sign up and get it activated, onto my Shopify store?

Does anyone have a script for customer service on your business end that they'd ike to share?

Do you need to start a business PayPal account for your shopify? I only have a personal one, or will that do?

I'm hesitant to put my real address on anything that asks for my address. Is this just me being paranoid or does everyone put their business address as their house address too?

Follow instructions from Stripe or Shopify. That seems the logical path.

What do you want the 'script' to do?

Good way to lose your Paypal acct....if you are in BUSINESS - upgrade to a business acct or add a second acct (allowed) to use only for your business.

Personal choice - many IMers prefer to use a business address. One option is a mailbox or a service that provides an address for small businesses. Make sure the address is a valid one.

I'll see if I can find any instructions anywhere else, no luck so far however you think they'd make it easy for you \_(o_o)_/

A copy and paste kind of script for questions like "my product is lost, broken, stolen, or not what I ordered" scripts for when customers write in the most common things.

Thanks I'll make another PayPal account then.

The address is for my stripe account. I think my personal home address will be ok after some thought.

      Thank you!

All of Kay King's answers are correct. The only thing I would add is that Shopify Payments is powered by Stripe, so in many cases, you shouldn't need to set up a Stripe account at all - all Shopify stores are pre-configured to use Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) and other than PayPal, you'll be charged extra processing fees if you use anything other than Shopify Payments.

I heard from a friend in the Shopify aliexpress dropshipping business that Shopify or maybe it was PayPal, holds 25% after the sale for 90 days. That's why I use stripe and not Shopify for payments. Did I miss understand or is this true?

It kind of depends on the niche and track record (or, for all I know, credit rating) of the people who own the website, I guess. We don't have a reserve for any of our websites on Shopify and they all use Shopify payments. The money is in our account three days after a customer purchases things and we certainly don't have 25% (or any %) being held.

Just a thought about the address question...

I know someone who always leaves a really LONG space between her email and her address so people won't notice it as much. She does use her home address.

I used to use a P.O. Box for a long time. Currently, I'm using my home address, but I will probably switch back to a business address of some kind.

    Good luck with your business!

Is there a way on your Shopify website to make the "shop now" button that's on your homepage go to ALL your products? Instead I need to go to catalogs through the side menu (on mobile) I just can't figure it out so I'm going to the forums for help.

We don't have a "Shop Now" button on any of our sites. We customize the navigation menus and use them for important stuff, like our categories. You should never use prime real estate like that for things that don't make you any money like store policies, contact us, your blog, etc. We put that garbage down in the footer.

To answer your specific question, you can definitely make that button go wherever you want. You would need to set up an "All Products" category and then have the "Shop Now" button link to that All Products category. You do that via the Online Store > Navigation section.

There is def a big white button in the middle of my landing home page that says shop now and it's been since the beginning of me using Shopify. There's nothing on navigation that gets it away. I wish I knew a little big more about all this so it wouldn't be a problem. Anyone know what I'm talking about here?

Never mind we're all good I figured it out. It was in my main menu slide show options to change all that around. So thank you for everyone's help on that

To get the stripe account you must have to be a person holding social security number (SSN) or to have a Tax Identification Number (TIN) of your company in the US.

Do you need to start a business PayPal account for your Shopify? I only have a personal one, or will that do?
Yes You need a PayPal business account to get paid by Shopify but don't be confused 'coz Shopify will automatically do that when you will get your 1st Sale

It doesn't mean that about your address if you are operating an online business but I will recommend you to give a real address in your payment gateways.
