  • The number of likes has little to do with traffic. You need followers - not just people who clicked a like button at some point in time. And, of course, they need to be real people.

      Popmati,

The likes will add to Facebook's algo in terms of indexing your FB page and that is important to all Facebook pages.

You can increase traffic to your site by creating a personal video about a new story and when done right it could be a feature that resonates with the visitors and can help with creating followers. Done right means the video on the FB page is high quality and more of the same is on your own site.

  • If you bought likes then those people have nothing to do with your FB page. They just like the pages and earned a small amount. Try to reach out the people who have really interest in your topic. And love to check out your pages on a regular base. Either getting this kind of fake likes, why don't you spend on social media advertising? At least it will help you a bit to get traffic to the pages and posts.

    Thanks,
    Robert
  • I know the above posters are highlighting followers, IMO you still should work on growing your audience.
  • One could guess your news and or structure of your posts do not engage well with your audience resulting in low numbers.

How targeted are your likes (or are they fiver likes) and how well do your posts talk to that targeted market ?

  • I have a FB page with 10K likes. It's worthless, since all I did, as an experiment, was to see if I could get 10K likes in 5 days. I did. I don't think it's had one like, since then. lol

  • thank you all for your replies. now i understand i need to work on getting the real target audience.

  • When you have a targeted audience and a targeted message you will see better results, in this post audience I had approx. 2,500 followers / likes, one quarter of your amount, with this one post to my fb group, I was able to draw 1,000 plus unique visitors to my website within 36 hours of making the post.

focus on your audience and your message and you will see a big shift in your numbers and even though the example above was an exception, the normal results from every post, were not to shabby or far behind. Best of luck moving forward.

  • Just clicking is just kidding, Please don't mind, Well you can get enough traffic for your website to improve their performance in the sense of on page as well as accuracy, catching useful content and fetch User attraction points. I ensure after that you would be getting maximum traffic.

  • If you want to get more shares and more traffic, you'll need a bigger Facebook audience. And one of the best ways to grow your Facebook audience is to ask the people who are already visiting your site to like your page. ... Target the visitors most likely to want to follow you on Facebook with page-level targeting.

Again, it is not with your likes but the people who really follows your page.

  • Likes are ok for the start. The real question is are you posting content that get people interested in your product. 50 visitors a day out of 8000 likes is pretty good compared to a page I used to have with 50000ish likes and only got 2-5 visitors a week before I realized what I was posting wasn't getting the attention of anyone.

  • Likes no. don't do anything post engagement does.
