How many product niche should I target in dropshipping business?

I have often heard that selling only one product is has more chances of generating higher sales. But why only one product?
What if I try to sell multiple products from the same niche?
Or
What if I try to sell different products from different niche?

What should I do in such situation?

Nothing stops you from offering upsells or re targeting the same people who already bought (or shown a buying intent) your first product.

It's up to you and if you are looking to build a brand around a particular niche or types of products.

For example, if your niche is consumer electronics, you can definitely sell multiple products from this 1 niche.

You can have different categories on your site that relate to consumer electronics. Think of a company like Best Buy that sells a whole variety of electronics.

There are niches and micro niches. The smaller and more narrow the focus, the better you are at being perceived as an expert. We've had websites that had less than 20 products and ones that have had hundreds. Every niche and micro niche is different so there is no one generic answer that works for everything.

If your goal is to have repeat customers, it's pretty apparent how big your niche should be. Would the customer who bought one product on your website also be interested in the other products on your website? If not, you're not really serving that potential repeat customer.

ONE product and ONE product only... WHY? because you can CLEARLY define an Audience, you can CLEARLY define demo / psychographics for that ONE item and create the multiple creatives to draw those separate micro targets to your product.

If you want to run a single ad and attract anyone and everyone.. that's what TV advertising is for.. you want to draw the masses on the internet, you had better be doing so by segmenting your ad to your audience.

And you still ask why? Because you sell 5 products and say hey come look at this page with products.. you MIGHT get a sale. You sell one product with an ad that says Hey Male 30 to 40 living in Texas get you some of this.. and Hey Wifey of Male dude from texas.. he need some of this.. and over and over and over, which do you think will have more success?

Instead of shot gunning your efforts.. just focus in and sell the snot out of 1 item, More work, gets you more reward

Thank you very much for so clear explanation. But I have a doubt. If I am going to sell only one product, what demand factors should I analyse before choosing that one product.
Because I don't think I can choose any product and just sell anywhere without knowing the actual demand.

I think, you should start with one product and then you can add other ones from the same niche
