Hi guys,

I am new here and I have been trying pop ads for a month or so now with 0 success whatsoever.

Here's the thing.

I think I made a few mistakes straight off the way (targetting UK&NZ) rather than going t2/t3 countries.
I am using pop ads.net which tbh feels like 99.9% bot traffic, I have a rather large bot site list for UK but still no luck.

Not sure if what I am targetting is saturated af, and I am not sure if I am just wasting my time.

Ive been using adplex to spy and give ideas but it seems to be the same sh!t everywhere.

If theres any guiders id be eternally grateful.

My campaign I just ran, spent around $50, on UK, 2 lps with 3 offers on each from 2 different networks and $0 returned. I know it works but it's a serious nightmare.

Thanks

First of all $50 spent is not a lot for such large country as UK. A lot depends from your bid, position in queue. The basic optimization rule is: maximum price of your goal (CPA) x2.5. So let's say when your CPA is $10 then you should spend maximum $25 for one offer. In your case there are 3 offers on 1 LP. That means each LP should be tested with budget of $75 (again in case that the goal is $10, you should adjust this rule to your reality).
To improve your chances to get more engaged audience define targeting, to filter people that are potential prospects.
Use a good tracking platform that will give you most granular information about traffic that you are buying like FollowDigits, Voluum, AdsBridge. It's important to have possibility to slice and group data from many perspective. This give you possibility to make most accurate optimization of your campaign.
    Good luck

Thank you for the informative post.
I have since moved to a lower tier country, the reason for this is simply the competition is huge in the UK, and I am a small fish in a huge pond lol.
In terms of tracker, I am using voluum, dissecting the info and filtering out the useless bots.
I guess the issue right now is that the offer I have are $1-3.

What would you recommend in terms of testing budget? I could easily blast $20 at 0.01 bid and get some info but obviously profit would be nice?!

Also when would you consider changing, i.e I spend $40 on testing with no conv, would you bin the offers and look elsewhere?

      Thanks

    No surprise.

By believing the bullshit the ad platforms spouted.

I am using pop ads.net which tbh feels like 99.9% bot traffic
    Feels like?

not sure if I am just wasting my time.
    I'm 100% absolutely sure.

    If theres any guiders
Spend your money on ads that have a chance of working. How many real, interested, wherewithal having visitors could you have had on your page for the money you've thrown away if you'd spent it on Bing or FB or some other platform.

Think about what you are paying for and how it's delivered.

Don't feel bad. I've spent many thousands on ads that never produced a penny of ROI.

      Thank you.
I was looking at the facebook side of advertising, but my facebook profile appears to be banned from ads ffs.
Might have to make a new account, as much as I don't want to give up on pop , i feel like the network is always going to win as it is pure spam
I have filtered a lot of rubbish out already and I am getting great amounts of clicks now BUT they won't convert.

Seems like 99.9% of the ads on pop under are for iphone sweepstakes (seriously saturated).

Just to give you a point of contrast.. I deal with Tier 1 and specifically local market targeting and pay a CPM of $8.00.. right now at $0.01 you are paying a CPM of $10.00 for basically crud traffic

Another point of contrast.. per 1000 impressions I get 47 clicks on average. Of the 47, most offers I am closing 12 to 14.

MY Math works... an example, I was selling Drones during the holiday season.. I was paying .08 per thousand and closing an average of 12, BUT with $87 on my end per transaction.

If we put Your offer in the exact same scenario.. you would get 12 sales.. and make $1.00 each.. minus the $8.00 it cost to get the traffic and you walk away with $4.00. but seriously.. is the demand that high for what you are selling?

At a CPM of $10.00 and a $1.00 product you will NEVER get ahead.. even at $3.00 the math is STILL not even close to in your favor.

Bottom line is with that offer.. you need FREE traffic.

Popads isn't the best traffic source but can work.

It doesn't sound like you've spent much yet.

What exactly have you tried so far?

If it was as easy as posting a link on a website and paying money...everyone would be doing it.

You need laser targeted, interested prospects or you are just spinning your wheels.

Most people use these types of "ads" because it's cheap and easy. That's the draw for the site selling the "traffic."

It takes time, effort, and money to set up a proper sales funnel and drive targeted traffic. Then you have to test and tweak and test some more. Of course, you may not make a profit for some time and after some investment, and, as you've already seen, you may never make any money.

I suggest you stop spending money and start learning about sales funnels, email marketing, and conversion.

    Simple to start!

As a rep from a Pop and Push traffic source, I can say tier 1 isn't the wrong way to go. The payouts are usually higher, and then if you find gold it's a whole gold mine. When you go on tier 2/3 the payouts are usually lower, but you probably get a decent amount that as a newbie gives you a lot more data to work with and really practice. Take Adplexity as more of an inspiration, but disregarding it completely might be a mistake. If you same the same ads over and over it doesn't mean it's repeating itself, it might mean that you just see a trend in front of your eyes. We still use Adplexity as a spy tool until today.
Good luck and keep posting here on your progress, I'm sure you'll hit green sooner or later
