How to improve traffic to my affiliate marketing site

I have an affiliate gifting site. I get around 50 views on average per day. My site is 6 months old. I have an active facebook page with 700 members. I have written around 25 blog posts. How can I scale up? what should I do to improve sales? how can I monetize my site better?
My DA is 10 and PA is 9. My bounce rate is high.
I have only one backlink. still working on it

Scaling up your site is all about writing more content and getting more links - it really is that simple.

At this stage I wouldn't be too worried about monetizing better. You can only monetize traffic when you have traffic to monetize, and in the early stages it makes more sense to spend your time getting 10x more traffic than trying to squeeze 10x more revenue out of the traffic you have.

If you have 25 good quality blog posts that offer real value, but only 1 backlink, then I'd focus on getting more high quality links.

Broken Link Building is one of my favourite techniques (you'll find an article on my blog that will show you how to get started).

If your content is truly valuable, you should be able to get more links - but you'll need to reach out to a lot of people - it's a numbers game.

You might be able to drive some traffic to a gifts website by pinning photos of the gifts on Pinterest. Don't forget to include the price and any relevant hashtags in the description. You'll need to pin regularly and in volume, but it could be an additional traffic source for you.

Where do the 50 average daily page views come from? Not all traffic is created equal

You could embed youtube review videos onto your site, to help with SEO (create a youtube channel, in case you haven't, just to have as another source).

Not sure if you have, because you don't mention it, but having a free giveaway in your fb page or group, that captures emails could be cool. That way you could monetize more efficiently (same with the website, having an optin and exit pop optin could be nice if you don't already have)

On page google adsense could be nice too, as an additional potential way to get some revenue.

Other than that, just keep creating content, no reason to stop at 25! Offer some cool stuff, like trials and other things.

Her are some ways to improve your traffic.

    1. Repurpose your content. Take a blog post and convert it into a podcast, video, Slide show and other formats. Link all of those pieces of new content back to your original post.

    2. For every 1 hour you spend writing, spend 4 hours promoting your content.

    3. Build up your email list. As you do that, you can send your subscribers back to your website every time you publish a new piece of content.

    4. Leverage Social Media. Use something like Hootsuite to share your content across several social media outlets.

    5. Guest Post. Find a few bloggers in your niche and see if you can guest post with them.

That is what I would do. I hope that helps.

    Have you tried Pinterest?

If not, I would definitely recommend you to do because at first, I was facing the same problem just like you but after doing some research I got around Pinterest and in my first month of using it I received 11K pageviews.

According to Pinterest demographics and its design, people go over there to get ideas and but things that they need and the most important Pinterest is made to sends its user to other websites like yours and mine.

Whereas Facebook doesn't like when you post a link which redirects a user out of facebook, therefore, it doesn't promotes it as good as pinterest does.

It requires a lot of posting on Pinterest in order to generate a considerable amount of traffic so decided to use a post scheduler calledTailwind which helped me achieve that much traffic and it is still consistent.

Tailwind is free to use and you can schedule up to 100 pins with its free account however with this 15$ credit you'll be able to schedule up to 400 posts per month.

If you have any question about Pinterest or Tailwind I am happy to answer

  • If you are ready to invest some money, you can use facebook ads to increase the number of your facebook fans. The cost depends of your niche, but you can reach a cost below 0.05$ for new real fan.

You need to start email marketing or messenger marketing as well as promoting more on social media. I would recommend messenger marketing over email marketing because of open rates. This will keep bringing people back to your blog.

Then I would push as much content as you can both on social media and on your blog. Make sure it is valuable content. The more social networks you are on the more traffic you will get. You can even look into paid ads engagement ads on Facebook.

Lastly, On your blog I would encourage viewers to share the blog on their social media. Like a social share button.

    Hope this helps.
