Hey Andy, we're all here to learn from and help each other, whatever level of experience. Internet/Affiliate marketing is a big area and no one is an expert in every part of it (like blogging, making videos, doing Facebook ads, building and email list, etc). So we leverage each other's knowledge when we hit a roadblock so we can continue to move forward.

    Hi Andy!

I'm on here specifically looking to help others. I don't ask anything in return, but for you to work hard and share your results at the end.

From my experience, most beginners are not entirely sure where to focus their efforts. I would say that the first place to start is to choose a proven product/service to promote and sell. I have personally sold my own freelance services, creating my own products and sold on amazon, I've pretty much done it all. What I found is that the best way to get started building your business online is selling someone else's proven product, as an affiliate.

I personally look for 2 main criteria:
    1. Monthly Recurring Commissions
    2. High Ticket Offers

Monthly recurring allows you to truly build a business because you can do the work once, then benefit and continue to build it every month. High ticket offers allow you sell to fewer clients, while still making a lot!

Once you've chosen your product/service, you should use a sales funnel to get leads and prospects into your business. If you're not familiar with sales funnels, they are the current modern marketing tools that allow businesses to sell to people online who don't know them.

Basically, a successful sales funnels ends up educating your prospective clients on you, your brand, your product and it gets them to "know, like and trust" you on that regard. The reason - people online are so skeptic these days, they only buy from people they "know, like and trust".

How you get people into the sales funnel to begin that education process.... is simply, but offering something of value for free.

The biggest mistakes that a lot of beginner affiliates make:
    1. Spamming their affiliate link across the internet
    2. Not collecting the prospect's email address
    3. Zero pre-education before sending to the offer

Absolutely, you need to ask your prospects for their email in exchange for the free valuable thing that you will give away. The free, valuable thing should essentially pre-educate your person on why they should eventually buy your thing.
As well, it is SO important to use that email contact information to follow up. On average, it takes people 7-10 times seeing you and/or your offer to trust enough to go and buy it. (obviously we always strive to close the sale sooner than this)

Lastly, why would someone eventually want to use YOUR affiliate link to buy the product/service rather than just going to the company's website to purchase, or going through a different affiliate's link?
    -- BONUSES ! --

You can simply ask your person to buy through your link and in return, you will provide them with a certain stack of bonuses.

I know this is a lot of information to take in all at once, but I guarantee if you follow this model, you WILL make sales and you WILL start to build your business. [self-promotional message removed by moderator]

I would say that the first place to start is to choose a proven product/service to promote and sell.
I would say the first place to start is finding a hungry market of buyers with money to spend which you can tap in to. The product/service you promote is meaningless if you don't know how to get targeted eyeballs on your offers.

The reason - people online are so skeptic these days, they only buy from people they "know, like and trust".
This may be semi-true in the MMO, "I'm the guru to teach you" market. There are many markets where the buyer doesn't care who you are, their only concern is; do you have what they want/need and how they can get it.

Lastly, why would someone eventually want to use YOUR affiliate link to buy the product/service rather than just going to the company's website to purchase, or going through a different affiliate's link?
Because I structure my pre-sell info. in a way that they never know particulars about the product/service until they click my affiliate link. The only affiliate products I promote are hard-coded/IP tracked.

I don't ask anything in return - [self-promotional message removed by moderator]

LOL - point here is to help beginners man. Obviously, they need to take some initiative and ask some questions before we can dive deeper I to each of those topics.

      Interesting views you have there.

    Hi Andy
Generally, people over here discuss the problems they are facing in digital marketing, promotion through email, SMS etc and people who are experts and having experience in the same domain share their knowledge and troubleshooting steps for problems.

  • When starting off here I would go into the forums, look up the titles and start reading about what you are interested in.

For example, if you are looking to make money online, you can type keywords, in that industry, in the search bar (at the top). Start reading posts and questions pertaining to the information you are looking for to start learning.

If you cannot find an answer to you question, then post the questions.
