Is there any way to view 24-hour usage statistics for an arbitrary website?

I'm trying to determine when traffic volume to a given social media site (specifically Wordpress) is at its highest so I know when to post my content. Are there any online tools I can use to look at real-time usage statistics for arbitrary sites (I'm interested in viewing traffic for the entire wordpress.com domain, not for my particular domain)? I would prefer something with a nice graph where I can select the spikes to see what times they are. The only communities I've been able to find any decent statistics for are Facebook and 4Chan.

    As far as I know the only way to do this is to own the domain and use analytical tools

    No there is not if you do not have access to the domain to embed tracking code.

    (And please, people, do not tell me Alexa does it).

    Is there a way? kinda.. is it really ethical.. probably not ( or at least it doesn't feel like it is. ) but you can goto any site, and if you could determine where the log.txt file is.. all the information you would ever want would be right there for you.

      That's a VERY BIG IF. Good luck finding that file on most websites you would care to see that data on, let alone accessing it. Just because a file may exist, it doesn't mean that it is accessible without knowing things like admin passwords.

        you might actually be surprised HOW easy it is.. pretty much any and every wordpress site.. yeah no problem. Shopify, yeah no problem. More corporate sites and the like.. sure I will agree not so easy...
