How to refer problem solution link in this community?

I have replied to someone regarding Fiverr sale and mention some top level profile llinks for suggestion and my comments was removed due to unnacessory links.

Can anyone suggest me that how to ad examplery links for suggetion of proper guide which can not agains of the policy and community.

  • There aren't many threads where link drops are essential. Sometimes they can aid the discussion, but mostly they just take members away from the forum.

    The additional problem, especially with newer members, is the difficulty in distinguishing promotional links from the merely informational. If in doubt, the moderators will usually remove the link or disallow the post.

    As you get to know the forum, you'll soon get the hang of when the use of links is appropriate.

  • If you truly believe the links are helpful, you might also try PMing the OP.

  • Would not advise that...new member doesn't yet have PM privilege - and members are quick to report unsolicited PM's as they are almost always promotional.

    • I guess it all depends on how you do it

      I think if someone asks a question like "does anybody know of some reasonably priced people who can ...", that person would not at all be offended by a PM from someone saying "I know of several people who do very good work and have reasonable prices. PM me if you want their information".

      In fact, I see nothing wrong with replying to the actual thread in a similar manner.

  • You can just say the fiverr user name and suggest it without giving the direct link!

    • That wouldn't be advisable. Spam is spam whether there is a live link or not.
