Hi all,

I want to create an ebook sales funnel with an infographic as free download. I know the basic steps for this would be:

Landing page with opt in
Thank you page
Infographic download

After the "Thank you" page, i want to send the person straight to the 'special' ebook page where they can buy it for lets say $40. Is this the right approach? or is there another?

Thanks

Some of this would depend on what landing page program you are using. There's also the option of sending follow-up emails, which you can do anyway - one track for those who did not purchase and and other track for more opportunities to those that did.

Another way is to make the Thank You page the infographic download page as well. A large THANK YOU as the headline with some promotional text for your download and download link slightly lower on the page.

You could set it up like this:

Squeeze Page > OTO (One Time Offer) for a special price on your book, maybe or a low-cost lead-in to your book. > "No Thank You" link at the bottom of your OTO > "thank you" page with "Your download link has been sent to the email you entered" message and ads for relevant products/services > Welcome email with the link to > download page, also monetized with ads.

    ...or something like that.

Okay, so you will use ebook as "lead magnet". You're giving this free e-book in exchange for people's email address.

What I would do is make sure that that ebook has REALLY good info inside of it and that people recognize value of it.

And then after people read that free ebook at the end you can put something like : "You can get full book with lots of more info for $39..."

Of course add little bit of copywriting and tell them what they will also learn in "paid version" of that ebook.

Depending on the content and what your ebook is about, people may need a day or two or three to digest the free content before wanting to buy your next product. Your current funnel seems to ask for their money before they even opened their free infographic.

You are getting their email from the opt in page, which is the point of the free content. You could use that email to send a follow up email 24hr later, and then the sales offer 24hr later. You need to provide additional value in those emails, but it doesn't need to be an ebook or infographic. It could be testimonials, casting a vision of their life after getting your paid content, etc.

Good copywriting is required for this route, but this is an alternative route to getting your $40 ($39) sale. Savvy online markets do split testing. You could try both routes and see which one converts better for you. Test different number of emails, different lengths of time between emails, time of day sent etc.

If I was in your shoes, I'd concern myself more with finding a good, consistent, pre-qualified traffic source.

Find that first, make sure it can deliver the volume to get you the $$ results you want...

    ...and THEN create the ebook.

Don't do the reverse, which is what thousands of broke writers have done: write the book first, then go out looking for people to sell it to.

After the "thank you" page, will you send the infographic download to their email inbox, or will you send them to another page to download the infographic - and on the same page have the offer for the $40 ebook?

Any recommendations on a good but affordable Landing page with opt-in Wordpress theme?

  • Opt-in form ===>> three to five additional pieces of valuable (FREE) content, that's relating to your free infographic ===>> Thank you page with download link to infographic.

The aim of the free content that you are giving away, is to eventually create a list of targeted qualified buyers. The more value you give away for free upfront, the more you can charge in your back end offers.

People only buy from people who they already trust, like and know. So let your audience get to know you in your free content, then wow them with great quality/value in your paid offers.
