Hi Guys From the Dark Continent

Hi Guys- A newbie here and almost a greenhorn but not quite.

Question on Longtails:

1. When does a Keyword (say Spanish) become a keyphrase? (more than one word correct? Spanish Weather) But when does a key phrase become a longtail? How many words?

2. If I have a longtail lets say 'Spanish weather in July is hot' how many times should I use such a longtail in say a 600 word copy?

3. Should I use 'Spanish weather in July is hot' in H2-H6 tags?

4. Would it be better to use several diffrent longtails in a copy? How many is several longtails?
5. Longtails should always include your Keyword/phrase 'Spanish' or 'Spanish weather'

Thanks guys here is hoping for a speedy reply.

Regards

Lets for a moment say that you want to use the term for a density of 1%. The "Copy" is what dictates the 1%. so you have 600 words in your main text. BUT its not within the text you need to spread those 6 uses.

here is a list of places I would suggest

    The URL
    The page Title
    Description Tag
    first paragraph of the text
    Img Alt
    middle of page
    towards the end of page

3 of the above examples don't even show as text. Only 3 times will it appear in the text body, and the page title depending on how your page is formatted may display or not. You need to think about how a search engine looks at your page. and its not based on the text of the page, it is based on the html markup of the page.

So if you want to do a proper keyword density count you want to count the number of words that are visible text and then switch to "View Source" and then count the number of times you have used the term.
