Hi there, I'm new to this forum. I started a web development agency. Currently cold emailing leads from yellow pages with no luck. I scrape emails and then email 200 but have not closed a single lead as of yet. Are there any lead gen techniques that are more efficient than this that are still free? Thank you in advance and hope to learn and share knowledge in this forum. Cheers!

Make sure your emails use quality imagery, Create a strong introduction mentioning what solution you can give them, Use trust building words and make your subject line curious, offer them something of value like a tutorial video or a free ebook or another free resource.

I have had more luck advertising locally for web design. Create business cards and then go out to local businesses and talk to them. Look at their site first and think how you can improve it. There are many sites that are not smart phone compatible. That is something you can use as a tactic.
I just went to manila.craigslist (gigs) and saw someone needing a web developer and another needing a logo.
With marketing like you are you have to catch them right at the moment of "I am needing a web developer" Your timing is crucial. That doesn't mean you shouldn't market online though. Persistence.
Use Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and other social media.

    Welcome to the forum.

Cold emailing is pretty difficult and often not really a good thing to do.

I'd move on to other free methods. Maybe look into using social media, Seo, article marketing, video marketing, etc and see if any of those would work for you.

I think it's the cold emailing ad technique is the issue here. You could use a mix of adnses / social media for starters as they work well.
