They said NO. Do you think this is considered DFY (Done For You)?

Hi,

I was told my DFY is not DFY because it's not hosted. You have to download the files and install it yourself on Wordpress.

Please let me know what you think. Is Done For You a hosted Funnel but you have to add your own emails and links? OR, does a simple Wordpress import with built-in autoresponder and emails with affiliate links count as Done For You.

Your replies will help me in defining true DFY.

    I think you will get a wide vary on opinions with this. For those who find downloading files and installing on Wordpress easy, they will probably say it's a DFY. For those who know NOTHING about IM, they will likely want to just start cashing checks and say this is not a DFY program.

    If the value is there, I wouldn't care if it was 100% DFY or 90% DFY. I'd take your opportunity and figure out the last couple of steps if I felt it was of value to me.

    Another thought is to be up front with what has to be done..."Here is my DFY program. I've done everything for you. All you need to do is download the files and upload to Wordpress, which I can guide you through if necessary."

    I guess when anything is "done for you", it's really your job to specify to the tee, exactly how done for you it is...sounds obvious, i know.

    Could it BE any more DFY? Yes? Then it's probably not DFY enough...

    But not to blame you, people do misinterpret things a bunch.

    Personally, i think that if you'd have the emails, autoresponder and affiliate links DFY...then it's done for you enough (for me).

    However, like i said, if it's also hosted, then it's like the cherry on top of the cake

    Who is to decide for you, what is you believe to be a DFY product in the first place?
    DFY products, when I buy it I expect the thing to be DONE for me.
    Now the level of DFY, which should be revealed upfront in the sales pitch, has nothing to do to determine if it is a DFY product or not, as long as some part are already DONE FOR ME and I know upfront what's left for me to do, if ever it's the case, then that would still be a DFY product. According to my humble opinion, of course...

    As others have iterated, it comes down to what you are telling people they are getting. If there is a minimal amount of work involved (like getting a domain name and/or installing on WordPress), I would make sure that I have very easy, step by step directions on how to do that.

    I can't help but think, however, that if someone cannot do something as simple as a WordPress install (especially if there are simple instructions for how to do it), there is no chance at all they are going to be successful with whatever it is they are purchasing from you.

    DFY is whatever the salespage defines it to be.

    There is no true DFY.

    It's just a term that changes in meaning and connotation with time and person...
