Question for fellow Warriors.

Hello to you all,

I have had some succesful online marketing endeavours previously, but decided to write in the beginners area as I have been out of the "loop" for the last couple of years and focused more on offline income generation.

In simple terms:

I am offering a personal coaching type online service. I have some expert proof already like being a bestselling author within my field, and in general just being quite skilled within my field. What I am offering is long term coaching programs.

I would like to get word about my service out in the the easiest and most effecient way, and it is a definite plus if it is something more sustainable that will keep working by itself without having to pay ad costs constantly (although I am also open to ads if that is effective).

Which direction would you recommend in the internet environment of June 2019?

Landing page optimized for particular keywords and trying to rank for keywords?

Facebook ads?

Youtube video boosted with Seo?

Or something entirely different?

I am open to doing all of the above, am just looking for my starting point. If you do recommend something, I would highly appreciate it if you shared specific notes and ressources to get started, or pointed me to an expert within the field who could help me.

Thank you.

June of 2019. Look to WATCH FACEBOOK, the up and coming must see streaming service. And of course a youtube channel. Personal trainer, Bryan Francis has over 675k views on one of his youtube videos.

Whatever you are coaching someone else to do, and it appears you are involved for a long period of time...then you want them to be able to reference you in the past.

As for resources, nothing beats YouTube and number of views, and Google searches in your niche, to see what the TOP personal coaches are doing, and then you have to join in that parade, or march to your own beat...alone.

    Good luck.

Hello welcome back to the online world.

I agree a youtube channel would work very well and the reason for that is because it is Content Marketing, and that is why it should achieve a more permanent effect on traffic and overall presence and awareness.

In June 2019 to achieve a permanent effect for your brand, message, and advertising, that goes through the crafting and implementation of a Inbound Marketing methodology digital campaign. Content marketing is a major component of the Inbound Marketing stack. Plus, personally, I also combine this type of marketing with a powerful content syndication network of my design, that I build specifically for each client's needs. This method keeps your content shares to constantly spread yourself, your brand and your name all over the places like wildfire.

In the contrary to the traditional advertising method, whatever technique you use and / or wherever you chose to spend an advertising budget, and whatever the amount of that budget is month after month, after you have spent all that advertising cash all you will have left is the results the campaign has brought. Nothing else is left. On the other hand, since the Inbound Marketing methodology includes the production and sharing of very high-quality and attractive content to the target market, once you've spent your Inbound Marketing budget for that month you not have the results brought by the campaign, but you have spread yourself and your brand everywhere permanently a little more with your great content that starts to pop up "here and there and everywhere"...

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Welcome back.

    2 things.

    1. Yes, I would do you tube as the others have mentioned.

    2. Then, if you're a good writer I would put articles on my site of 2K words plus that delivered great value.

They have the main keyword and then LSI (related) keywords in the H2 sub headlines.

    Keyword density at about 1%.

Don't write for the search engines write for people.

Do 30 articles in 30 days.

If you do them properly they will start to rank in 4 to 8 months on anew site.

Don't build any backlinks. DON'T hose it up. Let them come naturally.

Do, promote them on Youtube and social media. This will drive traffic and help them rank a few months faster.

After the 1st 30 days keep writing and much as you can. At least 3 per week.

In 18 months you'll have a traffic machine.

Welcome back and enjoy the journey.

Thank you for the thoughtful reply Enfusia. I love the your suggestions of the organic, sustainable and value offering approach. The only thing I hesitate with is that, that many articles of 2k+words is a lot work, since I only want to put high quality material out there. And I feel that it would be more valuable to put all that work into more books and publish them (I have published books before).

Any other suggestions for ways to expand? Will definitely do youtube as it is much easier for me to create high quality videos than it is to write high quality articles. Thank you in advance. I have also just subscribed to your list and downloaded your free book.

        Great, thanks for subscribing.
I'm sure you'll enjoy the eBook.
I know, 82 pages for a free eBook is a lot, but that's what I meant by value.

You may wish to read this article by Neil Patel that talks about blog post length and traffic returns: https://neilpatel.com/blog/long-blog-articles/

Yes, it's more work, but you said you're back and ready to get to work.

As an example, it looks like you and I are both into fitness.

Did you get there without any work?

        No.

You worked your butt off for a long time and still do.

The traffic source, I would say, doesn't matter.

As long as you have a good front end in place, you should be able to tap into traffic from various platforms down the line.

Starting out, perhaps a video landing page talking about your offering, leading to survey question page to filter out your ideal prospects...

... and after that you can select the clients you want to work with.

Try driving traffic to this set up from a quick easy traffic source and see if it works for you.

Ideally, if you can contact people in your niche directly, and send them through this funnel, you may be able to see result quickly.

And then scale up with paid or free traffic depending on your tastes.

      Thanks TMM,

This sounds like a great plan. Could you point me in the direction of some ressources that could show me what to absolutely include in such a simple funnel and how to set it up for maximum efficiency. For instance the most optimal way to set up a funnel for facebook ads.

Easiest way to get out there is to offer services on Freelancer and Fiverr. You have to build a name and portfolio.

  • Do you know who you are targeting?

Do you know their biggest problem?

Can you solve it in a unique way (different)?

I don't know how ANYONE on here can give you advice on where your customers are when they haven't a clue who you are targeting.

And no, targeting people who want a personal coach is not unique or different or even remotely interesting to anyone until you call out their specific problem and put in front of them a unique way you can solve it.

Find the smallest viable audience and serve them.

When you know who they are, and what specific problem you are solving, then, and ONLY then should you consider what platform to target them on.

Lots of affiliates in different niches use FACEBOOK to market different affiliate programs and some who do things right are crushing it.

There is also YouTube video marketing which is also used successfully a lot.
