        If you are focusing on a local client base become a Google contributor and you can ad their location, add photos add reviews.

        Again with a local base of clients you could start a local business directory and add your clients to this, and then for a nominal fee of like $20 a year add other business' ( this is something I do and have a decent mount of success with it. the secret I have found is keeping the price low like $20 a year - it adds u if you have say 100 paid listings.. and this also becomes a point of entry for your other services )

        How BIG is your social media reach? you could charge for a shout out from your personal or business social media accounts. if you look up Gary Vees $1.80 strategy you could develop a decent Instagram following in no time ( its amazing what a month can do following this ) and using YOUR IG account as guide to your local community.. or for a specific industry depending.

        You could get in low end into Vinyl stickers and offer hours signs for your clients front doors.

        You could get in low end with large format printing and offer posters and the like for POP advertising.

        You could create item specific sales funnels

        like I said the possibilities are short of endless.

    Web designers have one basic need.


    More high paying customers.


    So, upsell them a custom sales letter and a marketing package to get traffic to the letter.


    Or, just upsell them a traffic package to their existing site, which they obviously have because they are designers.


    Have two packages:
    1. Where you sell them a traffic course that you build by aggregating the best traffic methods into one source.


    Or



    2. A done for you package where you drive the traffic to their site.



    That's what they all really want.

      Im going to take this a step further.. its NOT what they WANT.. it is what they EXPECT. Web design in the mind of your clients equates to "Success". For them.. You the designer builds it, and they will come is a more than common mentality.

      The concepts of SEO and taking time and separate monthly fees and all of that.. NOT on the radar of the average web design client... just isn't.

      I try to build as much success into the front end of a relationship IE a new web design client as I can. Most of that stuff I listed... its included.. but I bet I charge more than you for the build and I bet I get more monthly for hosting. I will also bet my client retention is way higher.

      Give them what they "WANT" and beat EXPECTATIONS... and the referral process becomes oh so much easier.

      I have said this before.. I am sure I will say it again.. once you start developing reults vs just a website.. this is where you will see an increase in business as well as the amount you can charge.
