Learn any skill that you can pursue even its painting. If you want to learn something related to digital marketing then 1 hour a day is very very less because you can cover the 'theory part' easily but to apply those techniques you need a good amount of time.

You could read the threads on Warrior Forum. There is soooo much information here and real practical advice you would spend well over an hour each day and never get through it all.

    Email marketing / list building.

With an email list, you actually have an asset that can't be taken away from you and you can follow up and promote offers to the users at little cost.

You want to learn and do, not just learn. It's too easy to fall into a habit of just consuming information and doing nothing with it. A lot of the reason for that is fear of getting things wrong or getting ready to get ready (procrastinating).

Knowledge is not power, but the application of knowledge is. Spend 20% of your time learning and 80% of your time putting what you've learned into action (this video explains the rule). You're also more likely to retain what you've learned this way.

You will fail and you will screw up. It happens to all of us. It's part of the process. But you learn from your failures, not your successes. Use failure as feedback and analyse why what you tried failed.

As to what you should learn, affiliate marketing is the best place to start. This is selling other people's products and services for a commission.

There are a number of ways to do affiliate marketing from blogging to creating YouTube videos, creating sales funnels to email marketing.

Blogging is a long-term approach as you build up a web asset over time. But it does require a lot of work and commitment to post quality content regularly. And then you have to learn search engine optimization (SEO) to help you rank your sites highly in the search engines so you get traffic (and sales).

Making videos YouTube is also a long-term strategy requiring regular posting of videos. At least here, Google promotes your videos for you and you don't have to learn SEO (though it can help). Ideally, it should be one of your main marketing channels.

Sales funnels are becoming more popular with affiliate marketers these days. Here you build a series of pages and send out a short sequence of emails which are all focused on promoting one product or service. Again, SEO isn't as important here as for blogs but it can be a benefit. Building sales funnels is more a set-it-and-forget-it strategy. They can be tweaked to improve conversions but 80-90% of your effort on these types of site is in sending traffic to them, not building them out as is the case with blogs.

Email marketing is something every affiliate marketer should do. Many ignore it because they think it's too hard or it's another skill they don't have the time to learn. However, an email list is the only online asset you completely own and control. Websites are subject to the whims of Google in particular and it's ongoing algorithm changes. If your website tanks, so does any revenue from it. But regardless of what happens to your other online business assets, you can always email your mailing list and get sales that way.

Email marketing, when done right, offers the most benefit. But to build a list you have to offer something of value to prospective leads to that they'll sign up to your list. That's one of the prime objectives of sales funnels, YouTube videos can be used to drive traffic to a sales funnel. A blog, on the other hand, covers a broader range of topics in a niche rather than just one product or service like a sales funnel. A blog's purpose is to provide information to readers and hopefully, you get a sale from that. You can also put optin forms on a blog to sign up people to your list. But you've no idea what that person's specific interest is so it's hard to send them targeted offers. With a sales funnel, you know exactly the type of product or service a subscriber is interested in and you can market similar things to them if they don't buy into the primary offer.

I started out my affiliate marketing career with blogging. Now I'm switching over to sales funnels as they're a lot less work overall and provide more reliable results. If I were starting out today, I'd learn how to build sales funnels and do email marketing first and then how to create the right kind of YouTube videos to drive more traffic to my funnels.

Check out Neil Patel's youtube channel. You should learn quite a number of things from him. Make this a habit for the rest of your life, allotting an hour or two in learning new things and you'll definitely be an expert in your own field.

That's easy, read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" that taught me about how the rich creates assets that make money instead of just blowing it on something.

Sales funnels and email marketing are definitely worth learning. Through sales funnels, you can build an email list and promote to your list when you want. You must nurture you list with the right information to increase your credibility.

Social media marketing and influencing is also another business model to check out. You can do this strictly on mobile and you can have multiple Instagram pages in profitable niches.

Growing a business online takes time. So you have to be ready to take action consistently. Without action, nothing grows online. No matter how pretty your site or social media page is, if no one sees it, no one can buy from it.
