I have a bachelor in Journalism and got called for a job interview (Social Media Coordinator position). I got rejected on the second interview due to no experience or knowledge about analytics, SEO, content scheduling, digital marketing in general. Seriously, since when do journalists learn about these in college? After knowing of such position, I'm interested to enter this field now. Internships I did already were in graphic design (don't ask me why), so I don't want to do yet another internship. I've been unemployed for so long now. I just want a job. Currently, I'm learning about digital marketing on my own. I'm considering setting up a blog and some social media accounts, produce content and sell products. Basically, apply what I'm learning.
I want to pursue a digital marketing career but no experience. What should I do?

Thing is, I don't know what I should blog about. I want something that makes employers attracted to me and also gain profit. The topics I'm interested in are self development and teaching korean in arabic. I think if it was in health and beauty, tech, and travel that I'd be more employable?
What do you think?
