a little help on a project?

Hi,

new member and fairly new to marketing! i'm working on a project and i was assigned to create a campaign for a new software. i got stuck on these requirements:

Approach 5 Authors to write about your above strategy. Write a cold email to approach the authors, while the offer compensation will be below the industry standard.

any help on explaining the 'offer compensation' thing?

  • I don't know why you'd think strangers on a forum would be better able to answer your question than the person who actually set you the assignment. I suggest you speak to them and make sure you're clear on what's required before you start the project.

    Regarding the compensation, presumably that's what you offer the authors in return for their work. Again, you can't begin to tackle this project without first knowing your budget.
  • It probably means that if the website asks $50 for a guest post, you must get a lower price.
  • I think it's all about spin. Something like "Get great exposure to an interested audience PLUS get paid $xx!!!"
