Free/Cheap App to scrape web pages automajically?

I have a local job board. I would like to scrape certain web pages of employers in my niche to see when they have new job postings.

I know there are browser extensions that can do this, but I want a way to do this automatically.

Ideally, I would wake up in the morning and have a csv or something of all of the scrapings of the day prior, all without me having to provide any input (other than plugging in the URLs I want scraped, obviously).

Does this exist?

  • Depending, look into rss feeds of the employers and tie those into IFTTT (If This Then That) which would email you each new update or it can directly create a post on your website and then notify twitter and facebook and other Web 2.0s of the new listing, and other such nifty things like that.

You will have to get your own coffee though.
  • If it doesn't exist, you could post a project on a freelancer site looking for a programmer to build it for you.

What you are wanting done is fairly simplistic and shouldn't really cost that much to have created.

  • Nice play on words with auotmajically even if unintentional. And that eScraper site may be promising and worthwhile to check out.
