Can anyone knows how often we should submit sitemap on google webmaster ?

I have a wordpress site in which Yoast premium plugin is installed ...
It have sitemap generated as you all know...

I also have a google webmaster account to track my website progress..

Can I know the stuffs we need to do in webmaster on a regular basis ?
Should I submit sitemap monthly there or will it be updated automatically?
Sorry I am new in marketing, but very much savvy in learning stuffs ....

If any geke is there .. please reply

Also help me is there similar procedure we neeed to do in Bing and yahoo separately ?

    Submit it once and then link to the sitemap within Search Console so that Google can fetch whenever they want.

    Same thing for Bing/Yahoo

      Thanks for your reply... Can you please elaborate what you meant by link to the sitemap within search console?

      For that any additional step needed ? Will yoast plugin do the process within the wordpress or we should login to google console and do addition steps to update sitemap automatically ?

        In the left column of Search Console, click on "Sitemaps". Then, paste the path to your sitemap (everything after the trailing forward slash after your domain name).

    The situation where you resubmit sitemap is when the sitemap file is filled and it creates new one, you must submit it to Google for faster indexing and also help you rank higher on SERP.
