What differentiates Warrior Forum from others? Would like to know more about this site.

I discovered this site from an article about the 'best' forums on the internet. I've only been on the site for roughly ten minutes, so it is all still unfamiliar. I am curious to learn what differentiates Warrior Forum from other internet discussion boards.
On a more personal note, I would also like to know more about different career paths people have taken and as to which would be the most promising to explore. I imagine many of those discussions involve internet marketing/advertising. I don't know how applicable my skills as an engineer (not a computer engineer) would be in that industry, but I would be curious to find out. I have recently felt the need to broaden my experience beyond the industry I have been in for roughly a decade.

Welcome. The Warrior Forum is definitely a special place. The best way to learn more about it is to read the posts, learn more about the authors of good posts, and participate where you can. Yes, even newbies to marketing have life experience and talents and interests that they can share with others.

Hi MaddMazz, and welcome also, ok, here is a list...

    • High moral standards, or if you want bouncing,...never mind avatar images, you won't find that here.

    • When a seasoned member is in trouble, (medical, etc) other members tend to rally around that member and help them out financially, (set up a fund payment system, graphics, etc).

    • Good social group, especially in the Off - Topic section.

    • And some discussions can be quite insightful.

Nothing much to say about your second question, other than l have been in IM for more than 10 years, and tried websites, name lists, blogs, software, self made products and flyers to name a few.

Currently involved with online Stocktrading, or been doing it for over a year, and it hasn't been easy at times, but l am getting better at it each day and the potential is unlimited, so that keeps me going...

As an engineer, you should have the following skill set:
    Key skills for mechanical engineers
    - effective technical skills.
    - the ability to work under pressure.
    - problem-solving skills.
    - creativity.
    - interpersonal skills.
    - verbal and written communication skills.
    - commercial awareness.
    - teamworking skills.

Here are a few skills they mentioned and why they are important for an aspiring engineer.
    - Teamwork. As an engineer with any employer, you're unlikely to find yourself working in solitary confinement. ...
    - Attention to detail. ...
    - Innovation. ...
    - Communication. ...
    - Resilience and self-discipline. ...

So based on the above, you're a perfect fit to become a successful Internet Marketer and shoe-in to become a prolific product creator with a strong potential primary market being the average Internet Marketer who is lacking in any one or more of the skill set you should have mastered by now.

You can JV with experienced marketers to form product development & marketing teams among other business development forms.

So welcome, learn, ask and don't be afraid to launch and make your mark through this venue.

In the eyes of a user, the Warrior Forum is a success story about data marketing forums.
Here, each marketing method is divided to help you learn and discuss.
There is also good management and many excellent marketers to help answer questions.

WF can be terrific or terrifying. Some great info/people, some really bad advice. You have to spend a little time, and just look it over, get familiar with it. See it for what it is, to YOU.

As to the personal side, I think the Professor (one of the good guys here) gave you some great advice. I will add, (also being one of the good guys-HA!{jury out on that one}) ...

to realize you have STORED VALUE in your life. Your knowledge, training, experiences and skills all combine to give you a one of a kind perspective on YOUR life, and within those experiences lies the seed to plant for future profits.

Get the value you bring with you, out of storage, and SHARE it with others.

One or two cautions about WF, and all IM for that matter.

There is NO one-size-fits-all off the rack idea, method, system which works for everyone. There is NO cookie cutter, do what I did get what I got results way of doing it.
There is NO right, only wrong by the results you get.

Take some TIME, spend NO money, and see how you fit into the IM puzzle, it comes down to spending your TIME, and if you can use a little up front to think things through, and with your background, that should be a strength...

And if you do take a little time today, you'll save TONS of Time (how much does that weight?) and make more money in the long haul.

Good luck, often, at the WF, you'll find what you brought along.

Bring dreams and wants and desperation, you'll find that here along with wasted time and unfulfilled promises.

Bring a good attitude, be discerning, and you'll find some great people and information.

Good luck, but I hope an engineer of any kind doesn't rely on too much luck to get results. HA!

I think what separates WF from the others for me is the quality. I am under the impression that the majority of people here have the best intentions and not only are trying to learn but also legitimately trying to help others.

My BG is mech / fluid eng, so have had to learn and adapt; finding new skills and angles all the time.

    Fortunately I quite like writing
