How To Add A Video To Landing Page

This is my objective:

I am creating a sales funnel to deliver a free video training, the trouble that I am having i am unsure technically how to accomplish the task I wish to complete.

STEPS I AM TAKING...................... I GET STUCK ON STEP 4

1) I will driving traffic to a landing page either free or paid
2) the landing page will offer a free training video with a button at the bottom of the landing page that says " watch the video " they click on it to watch it
3) they click on button then it takes them to a second landing page that has an optin form for them to provide me their name and email in exchange for the free training video

TECHNICAL QUESTION ON HOW DO I DELIVER THAT VIDEO

A) this is where i get stuck technically.....i don't know what to do technically the steps i need to take to deliver this training after they optin

I am using a website development tool called elementor which i used to create the 1st landing page that makes the offer to get the free training then if they do the call to action and click on watch the video button it takes them to a 2nd landing page that is the the optin form page where they give me their email/name to get the video after they type in their information now they click on submit button to now receive the video >>>>>>>>>>>

B) so this is where i get stuck what is the next step i have to do, do i have to upload the video to dropbox and then on thank you page some how i attach it via a script or i must do it another way LOST .....how many ways can this done to deliver my free video training

Hey nice work but no need to upload the video on Dropbox or anything! Upload that video on YouTube or Vimeo or whatever - YouTube works best!

Create a new video landing page ... take the emb codes from your YouTube video and paste on your new video landing page.

Then you'll be able to send your email subscriber so the link to that video landing page! Simple.

  • Why do you need a second landing page for people to sign up on?

I mean, if they can't watch the video on the first landing page because they have to sign up for it, why isn't the sign up form on THAT page?

Would it not be better to have the sign up form next to the video, which they can't watch anyway, and when they sign up, you THEN send them to the second page where the video can be viewed?

    1) First page with image of video and sign up form.
    2) Second page with YouTube embedded video they signed up for.

  • Hi onpointinfo

Here are some tips to help you get the best results out of this. Try to keep the steps your user needs to take as short as possible. This means that if you can do it with 1 page, don't choose to do it with 2. So I would have your 1-page which is all about getting them to sign up. Then your second page will be a page where you've embedded your video for them to watch, and the goal there is to get them to actually watch it.

Each page in your funnel, to maximise conversions, must have a clear goal. You may find it helpful to outline this in writing. Then the whole user flow can be super clear to you, and you'll know what to focus on on each page.

With regards to the here's how to upload and embed the video to your second page (yes, I made a video demonstration just for you ): https://youtu.be/XxBjeb0w4hk
