Hello,

I have 3 years of SEO and lead generation experience. I do a 9 to 5 job and to be honest I don't make much just enough to pay my bills. I am looking to outsource my services and start my own online work. Kindly give me tips about platforms I should use to get started.

If you're looking to get started, the most common route I see is:

Work full time (as you're doing) while you pick up a few smaller clients that you can handle outside of office hours (any local business you know and do them a great deal just to get some clients/reference cases under your belt).

Then use those reference cases as social proof to approach other local businesses while you build out your own website.

Then use your website and your reference cases and any contacts you've gained up to this point to approach other larger/further-afield clients.

There is no silver bullet. It's working your way up. You could try peopleperhour.com (and other freelancing platforms) to get some freelance jobs under your belt.

fiverr.com, Upwork and freelancer are three sites that come to mind at first. Study those site and other that are similar and see if your skills could be marketed there.

Upwork and Fiverr are solid suggestions, given above. I take a different approach and it works well for me: networking.

Some of the clients and students I receive come from seeing my posts here on Warrior Forum. Others are referred to me by friends in the business.

First and for most you should put this experience to work for yourself. An affiliate site would be the route I would take. I would get that up and running FIRST.. and then and only then would I start looking at offering my services to others.

Think about what your line of thinking is here... I have a job, it pays my bills. I now want to use the experience of the 3 years and basically entertain a 2nd job. This equates to twice the work and twice the income? is THAT really what you want?

Again start with an affiliate site selling something ( product ) very niched down and of interest to you. I don't know you, so don't know what that something is... but throw out some interests here and I could point you in a direction for sure.

Your SEO experience obviously plays well with this. Lead Gen for a product is really not that different than lead gen for a service. so you have that working for you. The bottom line is you understand "targeted Traffic" and in that the world could be your oyster.

I SUGGEST you follow up the site build with getting into offering your services.. ONLY AS A BUFFER in the meantime.. and again to gain traction in doing THAT, you will have to rely on your experience. BUT adding a 2nd and 3rd and 4th affiliate site over time will start to develop that base of wealth vs adding a second avenue of 40 hour a week work.

    Hope that helps!

my friend i think first you have to think about all pluses and minuses about your job, i mean you have to perfectly understand which work is closer for you and focus on it. not to have 2-10 work ,not easy will be, anyways just do what you need and wish you luck of course !

Upwork is the lucrative one although Fiverr comes really close.

What is your idea of lucrative?

I ask because what I could make on fiverr in one hour barely buys me a cup of coffee.

Warrior Forum is a great place for connecting with potential leads. Digital Point is another resource. You can also follow the leading industry blogs on SEO and leave meaningful comments there to get more visibility and traffic to your website.

Here are some good platforms to get started on: Upwork, People per Hour, Seoclerks, Fiverr, & Freelancer. There are others as well, but the ones I have listed are some of the most popular.

Check out onlinejobs.ph if you are looking for virtual assistants. As far as freelancer sites, I like upwork the best. Been using them since 1999 when they were originally elance.

Not a fan of freelancer. I've had to cancel many projects because incompetent people lying about their skills to get work. However, it's been years since I used them, maybe things are better.

I don't ever pay anything upfront. Set milestones and pay in steps. That way you can't get burned.

No, he should not. First, because the link goes to your home page, which does not have an article; second, because the quality on your site is poor.

Don't spam forums; it is not how it works. Also, link to your site in your signature.
