      Hello jemmy thank you for assisting me in this. I had a web developer who design and developed my website from scratch but now I am not able to contact him anymore. Here is the website yoursvacancy.com. It's UI looks pretty old and out-dated. I want to design like this one ziprecruiter.com not exactly same.

        Your website is on wordpress right?

        Ziprecruiter is not using WordPress but you can find a similar theme on ThemeForest and also you need to hire a developer.

    You'd better have at least some dev, or some skills of your own, I think;

    Wordpress is a poor software when it comes to big moves, like a total redesign, just "will not harm" to have a reliable hand if anything go wrong and you're already live and in panic...

    Changing theme doesn't usually affect rankings, unless you are changing URLs, content, meta tags and other SEO onpage factors. You will have to monitor the load time though. Changing themes often affect the load time which in turn can affect the rankings in longer run.

    I wouldn't worry about the rankings. Think long term. Your success is based on usability and your market choice. I would go with a very local job board, but if international is your goal perhaps you can make it work for you. There are 1000's of local markets and 1000's of job titles you could focus on. Try to come up with a UNIQUE value you could provide that no other board provides.

    How a theme is structured WILL effect how it performs on Google and else where. It may go up, it may go down, it might even stay where its at.

    Keep in mind because it sounds like you will only be changing the "Theme" in what I am guessing is a WordPress build, if the site loses ground, you can simply re-install the old theme, and in a couple of days it should bounce right back.

    If you want a really good, professional and with a good design but you don't have the skills maybe its just best to spend 200$ or 300$ on freelancer and get someone that knows what is doing to redesign one for your existing website this way it will have a minimum impact on your ranking.

    Best of luck
