How to check my site's progress

Hey guys ,
New here to google seo , i launched my blog 2 months ago but i just started to build some backlinks and learn more about seo .
My question is how can i check my site's progress .
I mean how do i know that the backlinks i build helping me out or not .
On all sites i add my website to check my ranking or the ranking of my pages for a keyword there were no results or said things like not in top 100 .
Any ideas?

You check your site's progress several ways - rankings, visitors, sales (if applicable).

You say you "built" some backlinks, which is a loaded term. Do you mean you acquired some backlinks editorially when another site liked your content and decided to link to it or that you found some places where you could easily place a backlink to your site, yourself?

hmm, you should rather not care too much about ranking on google..it's not easy nowadays. Try to get traffic to your blog through social media, for example pinterest is very good for bloggers

Just by adding backlinks are't going to help you in ranking on Google. There are many things that needs to be checked like is your internal link structure proper, are you doing off-page SEO, reaching out to people that could link back to your website.

And you can also check which links and search queries are getting you more traffic with the help of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.

Simple way to keep track is through Google Analytics, Google Search Console, other paid options like SEMRush, AHREFs are also handy and go beyond just tracking performance.

    Good luck!
