EPC = Earnings Per Click. Earnings divided by the number of clicks.

If you send 100 clicks to an offer and earn $100 then your EPC is $1.

It's a way to know which offers will earn the most per visitor.

The biggest mistake that many newbie affiliate marketers make is to assume that a bigger payout is "better".

In reality, it is usually worse (I'll explain below) !

Firstly, EPC is what matters . . .

if you send 1,000 clicks to an offer which pays $100 and make one sale, that's $100 commission you get.

if you send 1,000 clicks to an offer which pays $10, and you make 20 sales, that's $200 commission you get.

    So which is better ????

EPC measures how much people are earning PER CLICK SENT. Which is what matters. The actual payout is not relevant in most ways, except . . .

the bigger the payout, the longer time it will take to test your funnel (or the more money you have to spend with paid traffic, per test).

I've seen newbies post about how excited they are to have found an affiliate product which pays $10,000 commission. They don't seem to have thought this through at all . . . the "rule of thumb" for paid traffic is that you have to spend 3 times the payout, for EACH test. And even the experts might have to do many tests before finding a profitable funnel. So for that commission, if it take you 10 tests (if you change one word, or one setting, that's a new test), before you find a profitable funnel, that means you have to spend $300,000 before you make a profit.

And exactly the same applies to organic traffic . . . the bigger the payout, the longer the time is needed per test. So, for a $10k payout, you might be doing everything right and not get any sales for 3 years, then make several sales in a month (that's how real random events happen . . . they are MUCH more clustered than people assume), but how many newbies are going to keep taking effective SEO and promotional actions every single day for 3 years, without quitting?

So, EPC matters most, and the lower the payout the quicker or cheaper each test will be, and you will almost certainly need to test different combinations of things, before you find a profitable system.

    I hope this helps !

    Chris

EPC stands for "Earnings Per Click" and depicts the average Affiliate earnings per 100 clicks across all Affiliates in a Merchant's program. To calculate the EPC, you simply divide the commission generated by the number of clicks. For example, if you receive a commission of $20 after sending 100 clicks (visitors) to the merchant... Divide $20 by 100 = 0.20. Your EPC is 20 cents per click.

I sent over than 700 clicks to a sweepstake offer on maxbounty in the last month,, but my earning still 0$
this month I sent 274, still the same result, so I turned off the campaign,, any wrong?
all settings are done correctly and reviewed several times,,, but just no earning at all !!

bytheway, regarding EPC, I heard some times ago that there are some affiliate program pay per click traffic, is this correct or not?

The "clicks" you are sending are either not targeted or more likely not real people. Where are you getting your traffic?

That sounds like some pretty bad traffic, make sure your targeting the right niche and that your affiliate links are correct
